Good evening all!!
Dozey - another thing to look out for is Phenoxyethanol, they use it as a preservative in a lot of commercial shampoos, body washes etc and this is something that used to irritate my skin. Also, I'm sure you have, but try not using laundry powder but using liquid non-bio as the powder can get stuck in the fabrics, and the enzymes in bio wash can cause irritations too.
So today:
* Managed to leave work on time today!!
* Weather stayed dry for my work to, and from work
* Am just running a nice bath that has a glass of wine balanced on the side just for me!

Hello everyone,
Hope your sons skin improves soon Nintud it really is horrible when it flares up. Thanks for the info Phenoxyethanol sunshine I haven't heard of that but I will look out for it now.
OK I have yesterday's positives to do: yesterday got of to a slow start as Sunday morning is normally bunny time when I spend a couple of additional hours cleaning her out and playing with her and so I really missed her :-(
1) I made cinnamon and raisin bagels which were gorgeous
2) did some tidying/cleaning in the kitchen
3) sold some books online
Today's positives:
1) I started reading a book leant to me by a neighbour and it's brilliant
2) made some good prices on a difficult task at work
3) I returned some clothes at lunchtime even though I felt a bit CBA
Will be back with more tomorrow.0 -
Evening All

Not a big day for productivity but...
1. Got most uniform for small children (thanks to clubcard boost) so I don't have to go to war at the end of the month trying to find their sizes
2. Updated my CV and discovered it didn't need masses of work
3. Managed to see funny side of relative having a meltdown
4. Curled up in bed writing this before I grab my book.
5. Realised I've only been off work for 5 days (including today) so I still have another 7 before I go back
feels like I've been off ages already
6. Found out colleague received an award I nominated her for and she's delighted
More tomorrow! Keep seeing the good people

I haven't posted for days, so got a lot of catching up to do!!
Ok, I won't do 3 a day for the days I've missed but will do a 'positives for the last few days' instead.
1. Managed to get our for a run Saturday AND Sunday (even in this bad weather).
2. Had a really productive day in work yesterday, got loads of the little niggly jobs sorted that have been taking up space in my trays for weeks.
3. Had a lovely evening last night, just me & OH, and now have a lovely few evenings planned over the next couple of days.
4. I just googled Washi tape & want some
x0 -
Missed yesterday so will emulate LittleMissGiggles and sum up 'the last few days'!
1. We had ice cream at the harbour last night. I tried a scoop of dark chocolate with a scoop of cherry and momentarily found heaven.
2. My mum has done our laundry for the last two days :j
3. The kettle died this afternoon. This was positive because I have finally made a contribution to their welfare - plus it boils faster than the last one!
4. Whilst buying the kettle I tested a set of bathroom scales and I appear to have lost 3lb
5.It's 7.45 here and I'm about to go for an evening swim/hang out in the pool and chat rubbish with lovely people.
Hope all are well and found their smiley faces today xMBNA 430/14000

What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash. (L Ellis)0 -
Hi all, how are you doing?
I don't think anyone can escape the bad news on TV today regarding Robin Williams. It's made me think quite a bit and appreciate the good in my life. It's also made me think about what I do for others outside my immediate circle (I'm sure that almost all of us have had him touch our lives at some point) and really it's not that much. So I plan to do more starting with my first positive...
1. I have (finally) signed up and booked an appointment to give blood. I've been meaning to for a while but keep letting life get in the way. I will also be joining the bone marrow donor register.
2. Physio went REALLY well. The lady I see is pleased with my progress (and so am I)
3. DH got home early so despite the fact that he's tapping away on the laptop at least he's here
4. Free parking at the hospital this morning :j
Which leads into...
5. My 10th NSD for August and it's only the 12th!
6. Had a really nice afternoon with DS1 watching documentaries and a grown up discussion
7. Weeded the drive at long last which I detest but it looks massively better

Hi all
Kate - You have inspired me (I, like you, keep 'meaning to' sign up) as a blood donor, and despite the fact I work spitting distance from a donor centre, never got around to it. So. Sign up done. Appointment 28th August (picked a day off in case I am a wimp about it!!). Eeek
So feeling fairly proud of myself, my other joys are:
* Had a great nights sleep last night, about 8 hours which is huge for me!
* Day off tomorrow (ish, a little work to do but I can do it in my pyjamas if I choose :rotfl:)
* The new budget is going well this month, not many NSDs but low spends each day so total is low.
* I had a very scary meeting at work today but all went well and I got good feedback.
* Just a few more bits to add to my list then will be ready for shopping tomorrow.
* Ordered free paying in envelopes from the band rather than buying some for my budgeting (extreme saving?)
I must admit, I am a bit shocked at how organised I am, with my diary, budget, meal plans and envelope budgeting which I have started this month! This is all new to me, and I know I will have a lot of tweaks to make (especially when the OH returns from work in the USA for the winter and is put on the strict budget :rotfl:), but I feel much more positive about our situation!
Happy Tuesday all

My goodness all this positivity is great! Well done Kate and sunshine for signing up for the blood bank really inspiring.
We have been cracking on with decluttering and sorting out the kitchen over the last few weeks and it is looking much better now. I have been ruthless and binned things!.
Today's other positives are:
1) had a lovely coffee at lunchtime and finished the book that a neighbor lent me. It was a brilliant read
2) took the stairs again at work. Hopefully it does a bit to cancel out the bar of chocolate and bag of crisps I had because I was bored
See you tomorrow!!0 -
Happy Wednesday all!
It's been a good day here, I have had a day off so enjoyed having a lie in, well until 8am (I'm up at 5am for work!)
* I popped to the shops today and managed to escape the rain the whole time I was out
* I am now sat in the office with the window open enjoying a cup of tea with the rain hammering down outside - I love the smell of summer rain, and it keeps the forest very green!
* I went to the library today, managed to not feel like I had no idea what I was doing and checked out 2 cookbooks and a personal finance book (this is a big deal as my social anxiety is a nightmare in new situations / stores etc)
* I have closed my Next account, which means I now have no credit to my name (with the exception of an emergency cc which is locked away somewhere - and ignoring my student loan)
Right, am off to get a biccie for this tea!

Well done skipping the rain Sunshine (living up to your username
) it was fine here yesterday and I was busy indoors today I'd planned an outdoor day and it's horrible!
Had an early night yesterday after a very long day so for yesterday...
1. I have cleaned and tidied every nook and cranny of my bedroom and it is like a show home up there
2. DH is delighted to have his desk set up in our bedroom
3. Had a lovely long bath with some posh bubble bath I uncovered
4. Children didn't fight all day and tidied up the downstairs with very little pressure.
