  • Good evening all

I don't think I had time to post last night, although I can't really remember what I did get up to last night (so must have been super productive!)

A few positives from the last few days
    * OH has negotiated and agreed his pay for some work in November so there is definitely a bit more money coming in before Christmas!
    * I've managed to adjust my mind frame with work, a lot of people will call me directly even if not something I am involved in, because apparently they 'know I can be trusted to get it sorted' so, rather than being annoyed with the constant interruptions I am taking it as a compliment!
    * I managed to finish work a little early today so home by 7pm which is lovely!

Hope everyone is absorbing some positivity!

I have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!

    Hi all

    Here are yesterday's and today's combined :-

    Yesterday :-

    1) Got asked for a job interview (Wed morning)
    2) Husband has secured overtime for next 2 Saturdays
    3) Walked rather than drove 2 miles each way to the post office and got some exercise

    Today :-

    1) Weather has been sunny and lovely all day
    2) All holiday washing and ironing now done and suitcases put away
    3) Got contacted about another job I thought I hadn't got, to see if I am still interested as they are reassessing applications 😊
    Aims for 2014

Delighted to hear that BBthree - fingers crossed for you on either of the jobs so long they are what you want.

    Had a productive day :

Had a early meting and managed to get letters out this afternoon to parents. Therefore, my work is up to date before leaving Friday.

Have a little pile of final bits and pieces to do such as agendas for meetings coming up next term; draft some forms for possible use.

Been given a couple of leaving presses and cards with lovely comments.

Supper ready when I got home; meat from the Sunday joint mash potato and veg - lovely and warming on a chilly evening.

2 loads of washing completed to go out in the morning.

    Shopping list for the morning.

So feeling pretty good with my self.

Good morning all! Hope you are all well!

    My positives for yesterday...

    * DS first day at High School went well!
    * First day back at work went well for me too!
    * Had an email conversation with my contact at Quarriers and updated her on my current situation and near future plans - Her reaction left me with a grin on my face for the rest of the day!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Wow! All sounding good, especially on the work front. Good luck bbthree with your interview.

    Positives of being home...

    1. I am sleeping better now that I'm under a duvet (shame about the need for pjs too!)
    2. I exchanged our euros and can buy my groceries with cash for the rest of this month which will mean the joint cc bill (which we pay off in full) won't be so high next month, having the knock on effect that we should be able to muddle through as we are for another month before the debt situation spirals.
    3. As my parents fed us for almost 4 weeks and I didn't buy a lot of petrol in that time the joint cc for this month is almost £700 less than usual, meaning another month added to our time to find a solution to our income/outgoings deficit.
    4. DS1 has decided to return to uni for his final year and has declined the apprenticeship he was offered last week (either prospect would have been positive provided the miserable sausage raised a smile). I'm now counting down the days until I get my conservatory sofa back.

Off to SW weigh in this morning, my first since July 23rd. Not sure how I'll put a positive spin on this one!

Had a pretty good day yesterday and felt a bit less blue about returning from holidays!

    1) Did 2 batches of baking (scones and flapjack) and both taste great
    2) OH came over and we went to my Gran's for tea. We also arranged to go and look at my uncle's house which he is selling.
    3) Got all my washing and shopping for the week done.
    4) Downloaded holiday photos from camera and had a good laugh at some of them!

    Back later with today's!
