SOMam - last time I looked at the fly lady thread it scared me silly because I knew I would never keep up, but I might give it another go.
I thought the same to begin with but I figured the worst that will happen if I can't complete anything is that it won't get done. The ladies on that thread are lovely and are a great support when you don't manage to get something done. I also get good tips in things from them too. You do what you can and you start to see things on the list begin to be done quicker than before and it helps eradicate the "where do I start?" procrastinating.
I have slipped a bit however as I got some "potentially" bad news from my mother a couple of days ago which has kind of left me reeling and planning on going back to the doctor next week (Hence no posts from me here lately but I do keep up with the thread in the hope that I can pick up some happy vibes if only for a few minutes)
Anyway on topic...
**Its Saturday
Hope you are all well

Happy Saturday all
Yay it's Saturday and a long weekend for me!! Am not back to work now until Tuesday, and then it's a half day as my OH is coming home
:D:D I'm a little bit excited already, he has been out of the country for 5 months so far this year, and has been away since June so I am super excited to get him back.
I am so pleased everyone is doing well and positive. SOMam - I hope all is ok x
Yesterday's positives:
* Lovely wedding reception for a work colleague and fun with other colleagues, good to see everyone blow off some steam after some super busy weeks in the office
* Cake at work :rotfl:
Today:
*I have decided to have quite a lazy day today, I woke up with a headache and quite lathargic all over and as I have an additional day off with the bank holiday's, I made the decision to just plod around today and get into the housework and prep for Mr Sunshine's return either tonight or tomorrow.
* I have started to think about the C word (as in -hristmas!) and have come to the realisation that I don't need to spend a ton of money on things, so I want to come up with some experiences / time type gifts so am spending some time on the web to get some ideas for this.
I think that's it for now!

OK I thought I would attempt a "take 2"

**Sun is shining and I made a point to sit next to a window (with the window slightly ajar) and feel better for it - Its been really dull and muggy with intermittent monsoons here for the last week or so, so the natural light is greatly received.
**DS tried a new dish (which is great in itself) and has demanded that it now gets included in his weekly menu plans (a miracle)
**I received a "thank you" today from a stranger and got a nice little boost from that
**Spent some time on Ele (I haven't used it for a while) and got a really lovely welcome back
**Got my payslip in and I am due more than I expected so will add the extra to my next DMP payment
Not the best of days but not my worst either. Dr Appt plan still in place.

Hello all.
Have had a lovely time reading through all of your posts. I like the positivity in this thread so decided, if you will have me, I would love to join in!
My positive things for today:
1: Recycled last nights amazing stuffed marrow bake for tonights dinner and it was just as lovely! (and cheap!)
2: Cleaned my entire kitchen until it gleams as I have friends coming on Monday who have never been before! Not to mention handwashing half a dozen cushion covers, spinning them in the washer and hanging them out to dry so they smell beautiful...
3: Jellytot (DD 2 years 4 months old) has learned how to put her bobble hat on and off and is utterly delighted with herself
4: Facetimed with my mum and dad and was lovely to see them both looking happy despite a very bad few weeks for them, and enjoying watching Jellytot interact with them
5: Tonight MOTD is on, and I shall be curling up on my super plumped sofa with nice smelling cushions, some rice pudding and a hot chocolate with whipped cream and mini marshmallows... (Don't tell my dairy intolerant tummy this!)
6: I have 64p left in the bank to last me until next Thursday payday... (which I will sit on until the 1st) after my final bill goes out on the same day the pay comes in... and that is due to my epic savings this month and sticking (almost) to the most super frugal grocery budget ever! The couple of £'s in my purse should last me for bread & milk! So I am very happy with myself.
Thanks for the boost guys! I needed it tonight, even though up there ^ it seems like I have a lot to be positive about! It needed writing down

Morning All
A smile and a thank you can go a long way :- Left my job Friday and a farewell 'tea' and evening out had been arranged in secret. although had been warned for a few surprises so I was semi prepared, like arranged to stay at a colleagues house instead of driving home!!
- Boss said some lovely things about me - and the colleague who has given me grief for 5 years, well she made me mad the way she behaved, but I can rise above her.
- True friends wanted to come out in the evening and I was spoilt!
- Yesterday went a bought 2 new garden chairs with the vouchers I was given and still have lots to spend.
- Had my hair cut.
- Had a lovely supper with OH and curled up on the sofa with a cocktail and watched recorded stuff and then went to bed and OH was able to watch MOTD alone!!!!
- Today the sun is shining and we have a Barbie at a neighbours.
So I am sending you all virtual smiles, hugs and thank you for keeping our spirits raised, having a wonderful thread in doom and gloom and hoping that some who are having darker days get a little glimmer from others.

I love this thread, I try and write 3 positive things down each night before I go to sleep but often forget, so would love to join in here!
Yesterday..
* OH and I sanded down an old dining table I got from charity shop for £40, it was just what I'd been looking for, but in a bit of a state and it looks fab now, I'm so happy with it!
* We had a great day with our 3 year old, he's been having a lot of tantrums lately, but he was an angel yesterday! And we had a really lovely family dinner with no tears ( for a change!)
* a friend has offered us some furniture for free, a great help for us as we're moving soon, and we can up cycle them, saving us lots of money

Morning all
My positives for yesterday -
Still loving the thread, there's so many things I can relate to : -
1). Weather was lovely, I am always happier when the sun is shining.
2) Got an unexpected cheque for £50 in the post yesterday.
3) Sons friend did come round and had the shepherds pie son requested I make and also told me it was amazing.
4) Didn't do fly lady, but did do my bizarre version of it and put my Anthea Turner Perfect Housewife dvd on to get motivated, and I cleaned out and tidied up my kitchen drawers whilst I watched it. A long overdue job that I am very pleased I have done.
5) Took a bag of clothes to charity shop.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.

Happy Sunday all,
It's a good day today as there is another day off tomorrow!! Yay!
Hi to all the regulars and double hi to the new additions! How lovely to have you join us in our positivity efforts!
Billie - I'm glad your last day went well, and just think you never have to deal with the not-so-nice colleague again.
liltdiddylilt - Well done on the budget!!
* Did some work from home this morning and noticed my manager has approved my annual leave for our Fuerteventura trip (if anyone has any hints or tips if you have been that would be great!)
* Sent an email and got an almost immediate response from the boss, she must have been working too, brownie points for me!
* Made and froze some soup with the last of the glut of tomatoes so they didn't go to waste - 4 servings so will feed the OH when he is back
* Got too excited that the autumn/winter fragrances are in (I am not a fan of the summery floral refills for my plug ins) so have a new frosted berry scent plugged into the office
* Picked up some cheap, but healthy looking flowers so they are sat making my kitchen look nice (and posh!)
Have a good evening everyone

My 3 for yesterday...
* We went blackberry picking in the woods, it was such a lovely day and the weather was warm and dry!
* I felt really well, I have been having odd aches and pains lately ( I'm pregnant). but yesterday they all disappeared and I really enjoyed our walk.
* My little boy ( who's 3) called me his beautiful girl, I could have eaten him! Aha.
