Morning all
Yesterday was second day at new job and having cleaned my desk I feel more in control!!
I know I am going to be happy there, but have to let go of the strings that tie me to my old job which I loved!!
Today I am off and have lots planned so that I can spend my weekend doing pleasurable things. So I am going to do all my housework and ironing after a doctors appointment.
The sun is shining so has to be a good day.
Thinking of you liltdiddylit xx
Would love to go up the the Tower of London and see the display of poppies - were you impressed Penguin?
Hope every one has a good day - virtual hugs being sent xx:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0 -
I have only just seen this thread-what a brilliant one! Well after a weeks leave, I was dreading going back to work on Monday, which I find very stressful. But in this climate, I will turn that around, in that at least I have a job to go to
I have fallen below 6K in my battle with debt which commenced 2nd September last year :T and I have 4 beautiful children who are fit and healthy-so much so they are a pain in the rear many a time
I also did not go into the red before pay day :T
Thank you for starting this thread. I will try to come on everyday, as I realise that I need to be reminded the glass is half full, rather than empty

It was impressive (though very busy!) and quite moving. One of the friends I was with is volunteering on Saturday to 'plant' some, so she'll get a really close up viewNSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

I love this thread :happyhear it always gives me different angles on positivity.
Here's my contribution:
1. I've almost finished my ear drops and the infection seems to have gone.
2. I've picked the units and surface for my utility revamp and it's going to look gorgeous and hold enough storage to change my life :rotfl: plus they are letting me use dd1's 15% discount even though she will have left work when I have to pay for it.
3. My house is the tidiest and cleanest it has been for months.
4. The freezer, fridge and cupboards are full to bursting with good, nutritious food that will keep my family fit and healthy (we'll omit the cookies from that statement!).
5. My cold has moved to my chest, which usually means it's on its way out.
6. Dd2 held a tarantula yesterday and didn't flip.
7. My new tumble dryer arrives tomorrow :j
9. I've lost the 1lb I gained after celebratory pizza plus an extra 1lb has left the building too.
10. Ds4 still can't write his name, but that's what reception teachers are for
(sorry to any reception teachers out there, I teach sixth form and couldn't do your job for love nor money. I swear, you must have the patience of saints!)

Good evening my lovelies!
I hope you are all well and happy
**I survived the dentist yesterday. I was both physically and emotionally exhausted after it but more importantly I DID IT! :j
**Found some fantastic little recipes that might just get some fruit and veg into DS's diet (always on the look out for recipes for extremely fussy eaters)
**The heavens opened on my way home from work so power walked up the hill...I'm now feeling all athletic

Hello all
Still loving this thread. You all give me a lift. Penguins, I am jealous. I want to go and see the Poppies! My mum has bought herself one with her birthday money!
* It is FRIDAY and I don't have to go to work until Wednesday.
* Yesterday was payday and I have pots of money!
* Work was not dull and boring, but did still go slowly today - however I got lots of stuff done I needed to do!
*Dinner was ready when I got home. Jellytot was very snuggly then asked for her bottle and went to bed at 6:30 again without a sound
* The heavens did not open on me on the way to or from work for which I am eternally grateful
* I got through the entire working month without a single taxi to or from work. I even carried huge heavy books home tonight
* I am enjoying skype natter with a friend from MSE
* I have got chocolate that was free
Happy days. Everyone enjoy your Friday night!Total Debt: -£5,029.17/£11,220

Today has been the last day of the holiday...the weekend happens in term time soon so doesn't count!
*Managed to transfer some more money into my savings account. After months of not paying anything into it it's beginning to look more healthy
*Have been to SIL to be's tonight for a party and had great fun and a giggle
*OH has asked me to shop with him tomorrow to choose a suit for my brother's wedding. He's picked out a few online but says he's going to be picky!NSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

Morning all
Well yesterday I had a bit of a strop with eldest son but grateful that my daughter made me feel very calm and that my middle son took the youngest to play football as I'm useless at it. I'm also grateful my cupboards are bursting and that I'm squirrelling away everything I can, to become debt free on my planned date. Almost a year ago I started this journey and have taken changes (or gone back to being basic) and I'm very proud that for once, I'm sticking to it and cut back

Had a good day with OH yesterday but once he'd gone home I was too tired to do anything but read my book and go to sleep!
*Went shopping to Leeds and OH bought a new suit (I know how men sometimes feel following women seemingly aimlessly around shops!) and I bought shoes for my brother's wedding (specifics chosen by the bride so couldn't be frugal about it!)
*We had a lovely lunch and OH paid - I even had squid and wasn't as disgusted as I thought I would be!
*We curled up to watch Doctor Who together - and he actually showed an interest!
*Bought my bus pass for next month so I won't waste half a day/£3.00 on Monday and saved £20 as I didn't get the train optionNSDs January - 3/8 2017 total - 3

Hello guys
Sorry for going AWOL yesterday. Shortly after my last post, I got a migraine and spent ever since then in bed until this morning when I finally felt ok-ish.
*Him has been very helpful, popping in with groceries around work, looking after jellytot and trying his best to make life simpler for me whilst ill.
* I got paid £10 to take out Now TV on a free movies pass for a month. I can now watch many movies that I would have otherwise bought on DVD, for freeeeeeee
* I did an online shop with Mr A's, it was £80 but encompasses a months worth of food cupboard stuff and a restock of chopped tomatoes, rice, pasta etc.
* My little jelly cut 2 new teeth at once today, in the space of an hour between me checking her mouth! Shes only 14 months behind where she should be
poor little gappy gums!
* I had a lovely natter with my SIL today, arranged a present for Jellytots xmas which she insisted on adding things to, so we now look forward to a disney princess scooter, complete with pink helmet, elbow and knee pads
* Took two amazing videos of my little person today. One of her with a circular beige sticky pad (to stop things banging and denting, or to go under furniture) on her nose, talking to herself in my wardrobe mirror about being a pig!
and the other of her vacuuming the floor for me, beaming.
* The weather held out to dry two loads of washing for me on the airers by my wide open bedroom windows
