Hi BBThree! Many congratulations on the new job :T
My happy bubbles for today:
* I achieved a massive target at work that was looking risky for this month
* It's my day off tomorrow!!
* I've made a good healthy to do list for tomorrow so I do not fritter away my day!
* I'm just having a nice cup of tea and allowing my brain to switch off from work so I can sleep tonight!!
Night all xI have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!

How wonderful, you must be delighted. Do tell us more when you come down from cloud 9.
Had a good day, my to do list is getting shorter and I will be able to leave my job with a clear conscience that there are not loose ends.
Hand over list continued.
Filing cabinets labelled.
Minutes finished and circulated with updated status lists.
Boss told me he is taking me out to lunch tomorrow - the Last Supper!!
Ds3 brought over loads of washing and I am ploughing through, but enjoying it. My ironing done for today.
Hope you have all had a good day. xxx:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0 -
Fantastic news bbthree :j
I share your holiday blues Penguin
but onwards and upwards with the positivity:
1. SW weigh-in revealed a 5lb loss
- must have been all that swimming!
2. I 'think' the demanding letter from child tax credits is actually a request for the last payment which they can't take by the usual means because it is less than our regular payment (am I being too optimistic here!!)
3. Fence paint was on offer in B&Q (I will overlook, for this positive thread, the fact that I have had to buy more paint and that this means ds1 did not come anywhere near completing the fence whilst I was away).
4. There is triple-chocolate ice cream in the freezer and it has been in there for more than a day... Because the kids don't know it's there :rotfl:

What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash. (L Ellis)0 -
Not a bad day today...though I'm going to feel it in the morning.
1) exchanged my euros back and feel rich now! Holiday money neve quite feels real, though I'm still careful spending it!
2) done lots of exercise -first session of couch to 5k and Aqua Zumba plus walking to and from the pool.
3) dancing around the room to glee songs while I got a bit more organised (sad I know but it makes me happy!)

Ohh I want to try that...but terrified to start! :rotfl: Would love to know how you get on with it!
As for my positives for yesterday...having a bit of trouble recognising some (another down day)
**DS appeared at my work after school and hung out and walked me home
**Was actually joined at the dinner table by DS for tea .. I think he picked up on my lower than normal mood.
**I made it through the day without crying in spite of my mood
Not the best day but admittedly I have had far worse!
Hope everyone is doing well

Hi all
I've had a good day, feel that I've been productive as decided to make a slightly more realistic to do list today and have achieved almost all of it. Normally I make a huge list for my day off and then feel disappointed that I haven't achieved it!
So here goes:
* Achieved everything on my list bar one load of laundry which is currently queued up in front of the washing machine!
(On that note, my washing machine takes the fabric conditioner but leaves a pool of water in the drawer - does anyone know how to fix this?)
* Managed to even clean inside & out of my car - this hasn't been done for a few months and I am giving 3 people a lift to a wedding tomorrow evening, having people in my car when it isn't spotless makes me anxious so I can relax now it is clean!! - I even bought a new air freshener tree for the car - yes, I have issues.....
* Have bought the easiest dinner in the world so I can just throw it in the oven later, and am running a bath so can indulge in a lazy evening - this is my last day off (I work 4 long days a week so have the weekends & one weekday - normally Weds - off of work) home alone before the OH descends next week so am making the most of some me time!!
Have a good evening all xI have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!

Hi all, just playing "catch up".......
Thursday -
1) I was really touched and happy by the nice comments from friends and family, and of course my new friends on here re my new job.
2) We have a fence that was broken in high winds and I couldn't replace it as needed to keep hold of money for mortgage etc. Now we can get it sorted.
3) Elderly person next door has bins taken in and out by person over the road. Whilst they are being kind, they are extremely nosey and my son caught her up against my kitchen window staring in (due to previously mentioned gap in the fence). I can't prove this and don't want to fall out with neighbours so used it as a positive and cleaned, scrubbed, buffed my kitchen and totally cleared and decluttered worktops and it looks stunning and I love my kitchen all over again.
Yesterday
1) Had to call into new job to collect some info (ready for starting on Tuesday) and everyone was chatty, friendly and genuinely seemed thrilled I am joining them, and I am gonna love it.
2) My son told me that I am the best shepherds pie maker in the world and wants me to make one when his friend comes for tea (Saturday)
3) I got unprompted hugs from teen DD, who stayed in a room and chatted to me for about an hour (this is a huge thing)
4) Bought hubby two absolute bargain Xmas presents he will love and it's still August 😊😊. Will just get him a PS4 game nearer the time and he is done.
SOMam - last time I looked at the fly lady thread it scared me silly because I knew I would never keep up, but I might give it another go.
Sunshine22 - Great news about OH pay. Can't help re washing machine as mine does the same.
BILLIE and Nintud - Wow you both have so many positives. Well done on weight loss 😀
Penguinofdeath - Amazing user name and I also dance round whilst cleaning and sorting. My "cleaning" CDs are Abba and Wham. Both as cheesy as cheese can be.
Apologies for long thread, I have just been too giddy to post previously.Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once.
