Ava_adore, I'm really, really pleased that you'll be seeing your mother and your nieces and nephew, and aunt, and having a nice birthday meal. Thank goodness someone's seen sense!

If, by any chance someone starts talking about the wedding and the problems you've had, just say, that there's no need to talk about all that now, that you and the other mother-in-law are just enjoying a nice birthday lunch, then smile sweetly and ask your niece or nephew something on a totally different subject!
