Free ebay voucher

It seems ebay are giving out free vouchers of £20+ to selected members due to the password reset issue.

Sadly haven't had one myself, but I believe there's no minimum spend so worth checking your email to see if you've had a voucher.

Not for me sadly! The amount they get from me in fees you would think I would get something back once in a blue moon!

Nothing on my main accounts..we have all obviously been too naughty to get any component for their mix up.

Big thread about this over on HUKD.

Lots have got £20. A few £75. Lots of people annoyed because they've got nothing.

Not sure how eBay plan to work this without peeing a lot of people off. Since they've said in the email the voucher is a reward for being patient with all the password changing stuff.

Yeah, that's how I found out about it. Was quite surprised there wasn't already a thread on here lol.

They haven't worked it out, it's ebay :p They've seemingly randomly selected people and sent them random valued vouchers, same way they have done for free listing weekends that were invite only. There doesn't seem to be any logic in it.

Yeah. So they're basically saying 'random user. You we're put out by having your data compromised and having to change your password. Here's £20'.

Most people seem to have issue with them saying some we're put out when in fact every one was.

Vouchers aside, they should be sending an email to everyone to apologise. Everyone was at risk. But that's ebay for you.

Someone on HUKD has just said they're talking to a rep who has saidthat the marketing team are sending them out in random batches so it'll be interesting to see if more people get them over the next few days. I think someone else said they got a voucher a couple of days ago.

If they don't sent one to everyone they'll have a lot of annoyed people who I imagine will avoid eBay for a while at least.

If I was actually bothered. And didn't get a voucher. I'd switch my shopping to amazon. They don't give out vouchers either. But they don't send vouchers out to 'some' customers either and leave others feeling as though they've been left out.

As it stands. Even if I do get a voucher I have nothing I want to buy haha.

    Agreed. Exactly.

I don't have anything at the moment that I really want to buy but I'm sure with £20+ I'd soon find something lol.
