Life on the dole!!

I'm on benefits myself, although I don't want to be. I've worked since I was 18 and only ever claimed JSA once for about six weeks. I'm currently on ESA and I had to go to a JobCentre once to get my sick note faxed over. The place was so utterly depressing I simply don't understand why people would want to linger on benefits for x years and have to spend x amount of time in the JobCentre. As for the smoking when pregnant, when I had my hysterectomy the ward I was on was next door to the maternity ward and my Mum and Dad took me outside for some fresh air- there was a heavily pregnant young girl stood there smoking- my Dad had to ask her to move as it was making me cough which was extremely painful. She got really stroppy as she thought my Dad was deliberately being arsey- I had to actually say it's hurting me before she stropped off to actually stand in the smoking shelter. I felt like screaming at her do you know how lucky you are to be pregnant and how can you be doing something so stupid?
