Keep going!
Thank you for that. It is good to see it under £2000 but I have very little patience and feel like there is so far to go. I know it's close to the end and I should feel great but I want it gone now.
I find doing little bits keeps me motivated. I used to write massive lists which would be impossible to achieve but have taught myself to have some restraint and it's working.Hello

Thank you aartisuk
I do try to tackle it but my head can pop back into the sand very quickly. I could have paid it off sooner had I not been so much of an Emu.
I spend ages reading other peoples diaries as it has kept me going over the years. I think I will still be here even when all the debt is paid off.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Morning world. actually I have been up since 5am so this is a bit late.
I have a day of waiting today as the carpet fitter is booked to come and put the new carpet into the larger back room so I can swap sitting rooms over. The room is looking nice actually. I have painted it and put up some new to me curtains. They previously belonged to mum but when she changed her suite they no longer suited so off to me they come. I have also been painting a unit which I will need to build bookcases on to of eventually but it's somewhere to put the idiotbox, oops sorry the TV.
I do tend to sit and fret when waiting for someone to come but have decided to be productive today and do some baking and sorting in other rooms. I have a huge bag off clutter from the unit draws which needs going through.
Anyway off to do something and make the most of the day.

How lovely, I always think the carpet going down lifts the whole room. I hope you are pleased with the end result. Enjoy your baking and send some my way please!

It looks lovely chrysalis. A proper grown up room with fitted carpets which I've not had before. I usually fit it myself (cut out and lie out), so this is a real treat. They came really early so I have been able to swap the rooms around. The small room will now become the sewing/music room.
I have been making these just as an occasional snack for DS.

Oh dear, my poor diary has been neglected recently.
I'm feeling very, very down in the dumps today. My little baby has started proper nursery this morning for 2 1/2 days per week. He has been in kindergarten for one day a week since I returned to work but this is a big step. I was a little sniffy walking back home but coping until I wakled into a silent house, saw a Mr Man book and a half eaten apple and the howling started. Its silly really as he is doing the half day today and I'm picking him up in less than an hour.
ALSO I have to return to work tomorrow after the summer holidays. Now don't get me wrong I know how lucky I am having all this time off, but the problem is I love being at home being a true home-bird and I have enjoyed myself so much. I can't understand colleagues who spend the first day back saying how glad they are to return because they were BORED. Some of them even go in during the holidays for something to do.
Anyway a few more bills paid today, a little bit of Christmas shopping got and the housework done. I now need to sit and work out where I am with my debts as I have totally lost track.
But first I NEED to LOG OFF MSE or nothing else will get done.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Hi, ah bless to missing your little man I'm dreading Wednesday it's the beginning of the manic routine and lots and lots of work to do. Definitely would rather be a stay at home Mum or at least work part time only.
Well done on the Christmas shopping, I haven't even started thinking about it yet. I think some more homemade things so really should look at what I want to make and what I already have in the house to use.
Hope ds has had a good time at nursery.

Thanks Chrysallis
I know how lucky I am to be able to work 3 days per week and term time only. I don't know how people cope with 52 week jobs and children. I would be pulling my hair out.
DS has loved being at nursery for 2.5 days rather than the one day in kindergarten. It's what he needs being with other children more often.
I have been checking my statement for my DMP this morning and the figures have dropped again.
Total paid to date: £26,544.00
Last payment date and amount: 03/09/2014 £309.00
Next payment date and amount: 02/10/2014 £309.00
Estimated total remaining debt*: £1,493.13
Estimated completion date*: 02/01/2015
But this is the best bit, all the debts are under £1000. What a boost.

It's so near yet so far. Oh how I wish i possessed some patience but I don't. I need to find some stuff to sell on fleabuy but its all gone now. Only junk left. I do have a couple of insurances to do soon so perhaps a good deal and Quidc0 will bring a bit more in and cut down costs at the same time.
We have also heard rumors at work about a pay rise. Now I think this is one of those things which I had back in 2007. It would be nice but I'm not getting my hopes raised. If I do get a pay rise every penny will go towards the debt repayment on payday. In my head no rise will exist.
Right more housework to do. Bye.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

I had a good day yesterday. I popped to mums to visit and while I was there the post arrived with a letter for me. I still have the odd stray I have sorted out. Anyway jokingly I said perhaps its a check. IT WAS..........Who would have thought it. It was from Ll0yds looking back at an old CPP payment thing. So now I have £106 to throw at my debts and bring freedom day a smidge closer.
Funny thing was I was only reading the day before about a lot of the PPI claims being looked at again. I was hoping that a few I was turned down for would be overturned One can dream.:rotfl:1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%
