I've had such a lovely day today. It was the little ones birthday party and fun was had by all. I'm looking forward to his birthday tomorrow, I can't believe my little angel is going to be 4.:heartpuls:heartpuls
I have also paid off another £10 off one of my cards. So the new figures are as follows.
To be free by Christmas
Days left 208
Balance left £1682.11
Minimum daily amount needed to clear £8.08
If I'm aiming for my birthday it's the following figures

I was awake awile during the night thinking about debt. Not worrying but just wondering why. Most of the reasons I could come up with came back to my chronic disorganisation and procrastination. Even little things like buying books over the years when I worked in a shopping centre because I had forgotten to bring one from home to read at lunchtime. Or buying books because I used to be too disorganised to get to the library. One tiny example but every area of my life is the same.
Recently I have been working on my house trying desperately to declutter and organise. Again this also leads back to disorganisation and procrastination.:o Its the same with everything.
I'm really trying to change this pattern of behaviour because it causes so much trouble and the only person who can do this is ME.
So the race is on to get the house sorted once and for all. But which will be done first paying off the debt or getting the house clear, clean and organised. I would like the bulk of sorting done before the summer holidays in 5 weeks time. Thanks to inspiration reading supersavers diary I'm going to start on the sewing room first, its the worst room in the house.
I'm going to spend 20 minutes each weekday morning on the bedroom. I have some time between getting up and leaving to drop DH off when the little one is still sleeping. This is dead time and could be used better rather than messing about on the internet.
The bathroom is no problem, I swish and swipe most of it when the little one is in the bath.
So as a start I'm going to put the rest of the washing away and spend 30 minutes in the sewing room before dinner.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Diary, plans for tomorrow.
First thing clean and tidy sitting room and kitchen.
While DS is at nursery
Take all but new toys upstairs into his new bedroom. This will free up lots of space in sewing room.
Start working through mass of paperwork. This is a huge issue with me. Every few months I will spend ages sorting it out then end up letting it build up again. I need a good filing system.
Ring AA to cancel cover. Get new cover.
Right more sorting before bed.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Last night i sat down for a cup of tea before bed and ended up swapping my gas and electric. Its only a saving of £40 per year but its something.:T
The only problem is they will be coming to fit smart meters at some point and my cellar is full. Also the steps are full and treacherous. I have been saying for about 18 months I need to sort it so this morning I have three hours to get as much done as possible. The steps need to be cleared and stuff needs throwing away. All just to save some money eh.;)
UPDATE: The cellar steps are clear and swept. The cellar still has lots of stuff in in but it is all out of the way ready for meters to be installed. Oh and my wheelie bin is full and the tip pile has doubled.
All dinner is cooked ready to go later.
And a payment. New figures

Thanks supersaver, but I probably wouldn't have got the cellar sorted if I hadn't been reading about your kondoing exploits.

I wasn't going to make a payment until later tonight because I wanted something to look forward too. I need to get a life.
Anyway I had a brainwave this morning and decided that I'm going to make a list of any gifts I need to get for the rest of the year and also start getting a few christmas bit. I don't have a large family so don't have much to get. I started early last year and felt better for it.

Mum

Actually it doesn't look too bad. DS's are the biggest as he is only 4 so I like to get him a few bits and bobs. I'm going to get mum a couple of bars of goats milk soap she likes today and put them away. I struggle with my brother, he is difficult to buy for so I might make him a belt. The rest I'm not sure yet but that will come throughout the year.
I'm enjoying being organised, I wish I'd have tried it before.1 debt v's 100 days chapter 34: T3sco bank CC £250/£525.24 47.59%

Lol Parsniphead. I did a similar trick with my spare room as you have with your cellar. I haven't really kondoed it, just organised it read to kondo. And it feels so much better. Keep popping in there planningOSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Funny day today. I feel worn out moving rooms at work and nearly didn't bother with a payment. A good talking to helped me pay off an extra tenner. I have checked my account and I can't keep this up every day this month as it's been an expensive one but can do a few more. I really need to motivate myself into flea baying  or making money other ways.
I do have a a couple of bits of money to come in, about £106 and possibly a repayment from the DVLA of £20.
I also need to cancel my AA cover as that been increased to £15.99, cheeky beggers. I have a quote from elsewhere for £6.97 per month.
Also the fuel in my new to me car is lasting so much longer and I think I should have some left in the tank when it comes to refilling day. Fingers crossed anyway.

I tried to do this last night but the internet was playing up. I paid off £10 yesterday but noting today unfortunately. I have had a little spend today as I have ordered 8 metres of cuddle fleece to line the curtains for winter. With the single glazing its needed and I have been saying it for years and not done anything about it. Now I have started the winter preps to keep us warmer.
