No, I am not (seriously) but we all make mistakes, through life, in various ways, and the OP has really been trashed, although, again, the only one committing adultery is the husband!
I think perhaps there is some personal baggage with some posters, going on here.
I cannot be righteous (too boring lol) but I just don't like to see people made to feel awful.
But, hey ho, if we all took the same views, life would be boring.

We have a self confessed adulterer to be our next Monarch, and Defender of the Faith......
And, of course, we had Edwina Currie keeping John Major warm at night lol:eek:
And, of course, the very popular Nigel Farage is known for being a bit of a lad with the ladies....
It's not just the US!
Lin
And that makes it OK how exactly ?
Not noticed Major or Edwina topping any polls recently- and the bigot's pin up is hardly an accolade . Now the friendship between Dave and Ms Wade might be another matter thoughI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

thank you i know i did wrong and nothing any of them can say will make it worse. It done and i cant change the past but can do whats right from now.
I suspect you posted hoping for a kick up the bum as you knew you needed to end things but didn't have the courage to ?I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Op hasnt done anything criminal, shes had an affair, so what she can move on if she wishes.
She doesnt have to wear a hairshirt and beat herself up about it.
Its over and done and no big deal.0 -

I too support her decision to end the affair.
Unlike you, that's where my support ends.Actually, Clinton, along with JFK, is the most popular president ever, so, I don't think the personal stuff worries people too much.
But as this thread has consisted of women posting that women should think about the feelings of other women, they don't know, why are you not considering the feelings of the OP?
Doesn't 'The Sisterhood' extend to those that have erred?
Lin
I'm considering the feelings of the unknown, unaware wife.
She may not be 100% innocent in her relationship with the OP's lover but we don't know her position.
We do, however, know the position of the OP.
I actually know neither the OP nor the wife of the bloke she's been having an affair with.
Just because one woman chooses to post on this website, why should I show more sympathy to her than to the wife?
I declined the invitation to join 'the sisterhood' (whatever that is).
I post my own opinion as I see fit.0 -

Yes, Most if not all of us have done something wrong. I am not perfect although I have never and will never be unfaithful to my husband nor have had an affair with a married man.
OP started by saying she regretted it etc but then tried the usual "Oh I couldn't help it", and "I didn't mean for it to happen". That is just absolute utter rubbish and the lines almost always spouted by people who have affairsLol - MSE is full of the righteous....:T
I wish I could have got to pension age never making mistakes...:rotfl:

Oh, well, actions in life are either a mistake or not - I would think that getting involved with a bloke, tied to another woman, is a bit of a mistake.
But, maybe not then.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -

Oh, don't beat yourself up, it's not a case of wearing sackcloth and ashes for the rest of your life!
He did the dirty on his wife, but you, I am sure, would be better finding a bloke who could give you all of his love and attention.
Best just move on and learn a lesson.

Any bloke would be well worth staying away from her if she's happy to jump into bed with a married man.
Affairs don't just happen. People make a conscious decision to have an affair and it tells you a hell of a lot about their morals and personality.0
