Interesting that so many people are giving the op a hard time when Bill Clinton has been voted the most popular USA president of the lsat 25 years despite his cheating and lying under oath about it:

Perhaps you lot should back off the op a bit. I'm sure she's feeling like trash already.0 -

Perhaps that's why we live here and not the USA.
Gotta be the stupidest defence of cheating I've ever heard.....but if you want to go down that route Monica Lewinski has gone on record as an adult to say that her affair ruined her life......so it may not have done good old Bill any harm - but it certainly did Monica (not to mention good ole Bill's wife and child)
(Just noticed you are quoting the Daily Mail LOL True desperation !)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -

The OP put her private life on a public forum.
If she didn't want to hear what (mainly) other woman thought about her affair, then she should not have done that.
It doesn't take a giant brain to realise that not much sympathy would be coming her way.
I personally think it's appropriate if she really is feeling like trash.
She's been conducting an affair with a married man behind the wife's back.
She deserves to feel that way.
FWIW, if the OP is really serious about ending this affair, then good for her. I've already posted to that effect (post #86) but it still doesn't negate what she has done.
Maybe you should 'back off' with the support.......
As for your strange link about Bill Clinton, maybe you missed this bit of the article:The Wall Street Journal noted that the poll results were a reflection of how much Clinton had done to polish his image since leaving the White House in 2000.
So his popularity is probably not so much due to his lying and cheating whilst in office after all......0 -
I support her decision to end it. I do not support the endless bashing that you lot continue to put her way.
She has acknowledged that she's done wrong, trashing her will help nobody. Everyone here has done something wrong at some point in their life, you lot are no exception.0 -

We have a self confessed adulterer to be our next Monarch, and Defender of the Faith......
And, of course, we had Edwina Currie keeping John Major warm at night lol:eek:
And, of course, the very popular Nigel Farage is known for being a bit of a lad with the ladies....
It's not just the US!
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -

Actually, Clinton, along with JFK, is the most popular president ever, so, I don't think the personal stuff worries people too much.
But as this thread has consisted of women posting that women should think about the feelings of other women, they don't know, why are you not considering the feelings of the OP?
Doesn't 'The Sisterhood' extend to those that have erred?

, I don't judge people (in emotional issues) ........
I can only be the arbiter of my own morals.

You might feel you are not judging people emotionally, but it appears to me you seem to be, just different people. Perhaps you are one of we righteous after all!0 -
No, I am not (seriously) but we all make mistakes, through life, in various ways, and the OP has really been trashed, although, again, the only one committing adultery is the husband!
I think perhaps there is some personal baggage with some posters, going on here.
I cannot be righteous (too boring lol) but I just don't like to see people made to feel awful.
But, hey ho, if we all took the same views, life would be boring.
