    Morning everyone

I did my fresh food shop yesterday so no SFD but I am aiming for 3 in a row from today as DH is away and there is nothing I need to buy.:)

    My totals are:

    Food £265/£131.36
    SFD 12/0
    Exercise 16/1
    Hols savings £309/£62.95
    Lose 7lb/
50 things to do list 3/0
    No takeaways 30/1
    No weekday wine 20/0

We had a good 6 mile walk yesterday and power walked the last 2 miles and overdid it a bit so tea was easy rather than healthy but not a takeaway:)

No exercise except half hour dog walk today which I am not counting for the challenge but I am going to book some classes for this week.

Lots of calls and emails to make today, it's amazing the amount of admin you have to do to get everything sorted when you stop working. Also will tackle the housework and last bit of laundry. I have set myself the challenge of having everything sorted and back to normal in the house by the time DH returns (excluding the ironing;)). It was all up to date then we had a week away, I was back for 4 days and then away again for 5 and it's shocking how it has got in such a mess.
    Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
    Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
    Make £2021 extra income - £99.75

    Morning all.

The sun is shining here at the moment, hope it lasts.

Yesterday was a SFD and today will be aswell.

I am about to tackle the ironing pile (I should be working but it hasn't been dropped off yet) then dog walking and this afternoon I will go to the gym. This evening I will go for a bike ride with DH.

I was a bit miffed with DH yesterday, he was asked to sponsor someones son for a sports thing he is doing at school and he did - £2. I was annoyed because we don't ask people to sponsor our children for school fundraising as there is so much of it and we just sponsor them ourselves, going around with a sponsor form just makes people feel uncomfortable and he should have said no. Why should we give money to a school our children don't even attend?

I use it as a body moisturiser for myself and my sons, as an intensive night facial moisturiser, !

Never considered this as it's so expensive. I got a 1KG tub of the Biona brand last year and still have half of it left. Might try it as a moisturizer. Thanks for the suggestion..

    Good Morning little June Bugs.
Congratulations to Abundant and Calling for making a mark on their debt repayments.
:T I am very excited for you both!!! :T

ILoveTea, Bindi Soup (interesting name) and Calling14 you have been numbered.

So I am at work until late tonight. SFD ruined already by having to buy my weekly bus ticket (£13) so might dash to Tesco later and buy my remainder of food with the £3.17 that I have and the 75p price promise ticket ( which is 5 bananas I'll have you know).

I have updated my spreadsheet with all my currents food spends so I know what I am spending where and it all tally's up to what is in my purse.

Moggy is getting her yearly injection tomorrow to the tune of £37.50. My work colleagues girlfriend is a vet nurse and can get me 6 months of advocate and worming tablets for £30. My local vet said just the advocate was £45 or they can write me a prescription for £9.99 so I can buy them elsewhere cheaper - which doesn't work if I have to give them a tenner and then £30 - £40 elsewhere... Anyway my friend came to the rescue..

So took the stairs at my train station (up) and the stairs into the tube station (down) although took the lift at work. Will work on this...:) (three floors)... as it was very very warm today!

I have a pretty hectic schedule over the next few weeks... Wednesday will be my cooking day as I am working Saturday night shift (2300-0700) followed closely by a Sunday late shift with a 40 minutes bike ride each way (1500-2300) with a topping of Monday early shift (0700-1500) which means no down time to cook or prep food in between as I will have 4 hours sleep on Sunday morning and by the time I get home on Sunday night only 4 hours sleep before having to be back up at 0500.... PHEW!

So lots of cooking prior to this - I also need broccoli for an easy accompaniment. Gonna try vegan spanikopita for starters which means I need spinach - thankfully I have a £0.25p voucher off a big bag.

Anyway - my life seems to revolve around food. Next week I have to do two night shifts during the week ( Wednesday and Thursday ) which means I will ultimately have Friday off. Won't know what to do with myself. Cook I suppose... lol!!!

    Right enough witterings....

    Onwards and Upwards!!!

yesterday was an NSD, hurrah! It wasn't a no binge day unfortunately, however i took one of the dogs on an extra long fast walk which left her asleep for the rest of the day, then did four hours heavy work in the garden. Counting that as one exercise session :)

spend day today as we need bread and milk but that's all and will come out of the grocery budget so will update later with the grocery total. Wanting today to be a no binge day and I've already nabbed a bit of extra exercise today nabbing a one hour filing slot at work- the cabinets run floor to ceiling along the length of the office. Plenty of bending and stretching!

    onwards and upwards Overhaulers :)

Hello everyone (June bugs? Overhaulers? Not sure what we are this month!)

Sorry to miss checking in yesterday - spent the weekend visiting my Grandad, so an NSD but no opportunity to check in.

Time to think about my goals for June. It could be a challenging month for spending - we have a week booked off work, going to spend some time sorting the house, but also going to visit a couple of different friends, which will mean money for petrol and some spends while we're there - will try to keep to a minimum, but is hard not to take them out to thank them for having us to stay! And we have a wedding, but it's local so not too much petrol. We will also be away at a family christening and a wedding anniversary in July - need to book accommodation for this, so will be paid this month. So - everything else needs to be cut down and kept to!

I find it hard to set a budget that is a challenge, but at the same time motivates me as it's not too hard. Does anyone else find this?

Exercise should be fine, as I go to the gym or run pretty much daily. I like the idea of increasing day-to-day activity though - will have to try with that! Although I'm not sure with being away how I'll do with the lbs loss...

SFDs - I managed 15 last month, to my shock, so will try to up this to 16 - again, could be hard when I'm away.

In addition - the main building work should be finished by the end of the month. So I need to get on with the mammoth task of starting to remove the dust, cleaning carpets, prepping walls, getting some stuff painted and my home looking nice. I'm really looking forward to this, and hopefully it will have a positive effect on my mood not to be living in chaos.

    So, here's my plan:

    SFD 0/16
    Exercise 0/20
    Groceries: 0/180
    Petrol 0/90
Personal - toiletries, prescriptions etc 0/20
    July accommodation 0/150
    Entertainment/week away 0/200
    Birthdays/Father's Day 0/35
House 0/50 (a bit optimistic as I need to get blind/curtain for the bathroom and more paint but we shall see!)

So far I've spent 15 petrol and 41.38 groceries and 5 on personal - shampoo etc (spend was on Saturday but am counting them for June as that's when they'll be used).

CEW - Marwell is fab! My sister lives near, I love a visit when I'm down.

Abundant - hooray for under 3K!:j

Looking forward to making some positive June changes - will update signature tonight with debt payments made.
