I'm pinching this and adding no binge days to my budget......this would be really helpful and will help me stick to my targets better!
Yay
I'm a terrible binger. Bread is my demon, I could eat an entire loaf to myselfin one sitting
Wasn't expecting to but I've claimed my second exercise session - had a bit of a race with OH on our dog walk! Knackered now and I doubt we'll hear a peep from the dog for a while! I probably shouldn't count dog walks but normally they are slow paced affairs, greyhounds don't have much stamina! But we've really pushed Millie to go further and faster, the old girl needs to keep her fitness up so we've gone twice as far and twice as fast as we normally would the past few days. Got Roger out tonight as well and pushed him to walk a little further, he's pooped now, bless him!

Bagged a 2nd NSD :j. No sweaty exercise, but a lunchtime walk and 10k steps.
Today I am grateful for dd going to sleep before me, for a satisfying day at work, for getting plenty of 'stuff' done, for my lunchtime walk, for having so much stuff that I can quite easily fill a bag for the charity shop.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

I could do too! Only if I have made it though:rotfl: I'm so picky.
I've decided to stop eating bread and pasta this month, mainly due to wanting to stop cravings and to try and lose some inches off my tummy!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0 -

Ohhhh homemade bread... My dad makes a loaf a week and I used to have a slice of it fresh on a Sunday morning with lashings of butter and apricot jam.
Ohhhh, that's why I'm overweightwell, one of the reasons!

Evening All,
Rokat - be prepared for a flood of emails from Flylady! I get the daily ones myself so that I don't forget what I'm supposed to be doing, but there is an option to receive them once a week. It's all the testimonals and stories they send through from other people that take up the space in my inbox!
No SFD for me today as had to pay the childminder for June. She's drawn a blank with trying to find someone to replace her whilst on maternity leave, so I'm going to have to fork out £19.99 to join the website that I found her on. I have checked the free listings that the council provide, but none of those childminders are close enough to me. Won't be SFD tmrw either as I've got to pay the £50 registration for DD's nursery.
On a more positive note, I managed day 2 of abs challenge, as well as insanity, so workout target hit.
Spoke to all 3 prospective uni's today who all agreed that I could do my maths GCSE retake alongside my access course and it won't have an impact on me being initially offered a place. Obviously if I fail the gcse, any offers made will be withdrawn. I just need to convince the access course tutor now, he emailed me today saying he thinks I should do maths first. I've got a meeting with him tomorrow and I'm determined to get him to accept me!
Totals so far:
SFD 0/15
Groceries £13.99/£80
Misc £4.49/£40
Petrol £0/£30
Exercise 2/25
Meals 2/30

As promised here are my targets for June:
Groceries - £60.83/£150
Fuel - £30.06/£150
Gifts - £20/£90
Social - £23.46/£150
Personal spends - £4/£50
SFD - 0/15
LTW - 0/19
Exercise - 1/15
My budgets are all from 28th of May to 27th June to come in line with pay day.
The Fuel budget is high as lots of running around for family occasions, birthdays, weddings etc. this also accounts for the high gift and social budget which is not that high when you take into account overnight accommodation for myself and OH as well as boarding for parrot, chickens and dogs. Dogs boarding should actually be free unless my Mum goes in for her operation in which case my budget will be f****d :rotfl:
This month I have already made my debt repayments, transferred £30 plus the few pounds still in the bank on payday into savings and drawn out the money for my grocery shopping, and personal spends. This is a first for me and I have to say I actually like paying cash for everything.
I will allocate myself a personal spend amount each month of £50 which sounds like a lot of money but this will need to cover everything not covered anywhere else including hair and clothes. The £4 already 'spent' actually relates to two £2 coins that I have been given in change that I cannot or will not let out of my possession. Any £2 coin I receive must go into piggy :rotfl:
I plan to transfer anything I have left over from my personal spends money into the savings account on payday. The account I have opened is a limited access account. Basically I can make up to 5 withdrawals in a calendar year and still keep a slightly higher interest rate. This means I will think twice or maybe three times before I draw anything out. My aim is to only use it for Christmas (if I really have to) or for emergencies.
I should be getting a small pay rise backdated to April in June. My plan is to add this amount each month to the £30 I have budgeted for savings as well. Let's see if I can do it.
As regards the exercise portion of the challenge due to MS related fatigue I will not be able to fully commit to this part of the challenge. It is really difficult for many people to understand but with MS fatigue there is no correlation between the amount you do and the fatigue. One day I can walk for miles with no problem but on another day I will need to stop at every bench or wall to sit down and rest and then call it a day after 10 minutes or so. What I have decided is that I will count any day that I walk for at least 30 minutes as an exercise session. OH has agreed to help me by coming out for regular walks with me but only on conditions I listen to my body and stop when I need to. My first exercise session was achieved on Sunday after walking around Marwell zoo for 5 hours or so :T
Sorry for the long post but just needed to get my targets on record as I work better that way.
I will be back tomorrow with a shorter post and hopefully a SFD.
CHEZ XThat money talks I don't deny, I heard it once, it said "Goodbye"0 -
I didn't manage a SFD yesterday - I bought popcorn at the cinema and chewing gum for Mr Mooo  That's a decent chunk of money wasted, and I'm pretty annoyed with myself.
SFD - 1/12
Exercise - 3/25
Food - £19.58/£150
Petrol - £19.05/£40
Misc - £4.88/£150
Today WILL be a SFD and an exercise day. I managed 6.5 miles of walking yesterday, so I'm pleased with that. Today I got the Reward on my Halifax account so that's gone directly to my ISA.0
