    See y'all tomorrow (i promise!) :T

:T:T:T Fantastic news! Congratulations! :T:T:T what will you do with your money once your DMP is finished?

Today I am grateful for my friend who always makes me feel better for spending time with her, for dd's teacher who really listens and will do what she promoses, for spare meals that got frozen ages ago and are a nice surprise, for dd + friend playing for ages with a couple of buckets of water and getting soaking wet, for planning done weeks ago at work making life easier now.

Not a lot to report. Decided after much deliberation to use the bus so £2.50 added to my travel total. The bits from the bus stop to the old house, to the post office and then (2 blocks across and 1 1/2 blocks back) to catch the second bus were enough. The second bus driver said I should have asked and he would have dropped the ramp - like they do for wheelchairs.

Had some pain today - screamed involuntarily a couple of times which bothered my mother but the baby thought I was being funny. Mum asked was I too young for a hip replacement but it isn't the joint, it's the muscles. Re-iterated that I am going to be walking the hills before Christmas. Also muttered repeatedly I will not cry, I will not feel sorry for myself.

Rested a lot but have attempted to do some exercises and managed to get leg at least part of the way to where it should be. Going to continue over the weekend, hopefully muscles will loosen with a little more rest and I can do more.

Just to restore people's faith in humanity my builders are lovely, they even bring their own drinks. Mr builder does borrow my tools, but that's because he puts all his in his car and nine times out of ten it's quicker to find my tool (I spread them all out on the dining table) than to rummage through the tip in the back of his car when he can't remember which part of the car he left them in - he get's cross if mrs builder reminds him about things but he did admit to turning up for a job years ago and realising as he pulled up at the house that he had forgotten some of the tools he needed, so he went to the seaside for the day instead.

Have a lovely weekend everyone. (posted before as thought the laptop was going to cut out on me)

moneymash shock absorber is a brand of sports bra and they are amazing. They are fairly expensive but they last ages and wash really well. Mine is about 5 years old and is showing no signs of needing replacing, apart from the fact I now need a different size.

abundant congratulations, it must feel so good to receive that letter!

MagicCat glad your necklace was found and glad you have changed the locks :) Hope you have a peaceful weekend now

Today I realised my totals were wrong and I am effectively out of money :( It was because I withdrew cash and it got spent over a couple of weeks but I forgot to record a couple of the transactions, silly me.

I am going to try and ekkk out my petrol budget so that I can use some of the petrol money for a planned meal out next Thursday.

Reached 20000 steps today :) although no formal exercise, will book on a gym class tomorrow.

Hope you've all had a good day

mothernerd I do love to read your adventures :) sometimes when the dogs wake me in the night, I have a read about your day and see what you've been up to! Please make sure you are being kind to your muscles and resting them too.

    Hello everyone!

MagicCat - So sorry to hear about the builders but glad you have (hopefully) resolved the issue, what a horrible abuse of trust. :( I hope the police sort it all out.

moneymash I second Fmess' recommendation for shock absorber bras, they're ace- worth the extra cash over cheaper ones to make your boobs comfy IMO!

abundant1972 Yay for the end of the DMP, congratulations! I'm also catching up on posts....

So, onto my stuff.... Lost track this month of money so I really need to get back on track and start recording everything. I've got out of the habit and it's totally gone to pot, which shows as there's £50 in the food pot and about £47 in my spends pot for the rest of the month, and I have to sort fathers day pressies and am away at a conference next week so that'll be dinner out... Though hopefully somewhere cheap as will be with other postgraduates with little cash! SFDs I think I'm on 2 *hangs head in shame*. I keep forgetting little things and popping out for milk etc... For the rest of the month must try harder.
On the plus side, I'm doing well on the exercise front, have reached 8 exercise sessions and have been running in the mornings a few times. I've also been using a calorie tracker site to monitor my food intake and although I slipped a bit today (lunch with a friend who is over from Greece for a few days) it was totally worth it, and I'm back to concentrating on being good now.

    Good evening June Bugs,

A spend day today so still only on 4/15. Not sure if I will manage the full 15 this month. Tomorrow will be a spend day as need to pay the balance of the hotel for the wedding we are going to and also breakfast on Sunday. Hopefully we can pay for both tomorrow and then I can make Sunday a SFD :D

I'm counting today as an exercise session as I've not stopped all day. We had to take all of the animals to my Mum today so she can look after them for a few days. This has saved us £50 for the parrot and chicken alone. God knows how much it would cost for the 5 dogs.

The amount of stuff we had to pack into the car for them all was worse than when you have kids. Luckily everything fitted into the car, just, and we managed to make just one journey. Got home a little while ago and it feels so strange with no animals. I hate it  I have only made one phone call to see how they are :rotfl:

Budgets are still doing reasonably well.

I'm really pleased that despite an unexpected cost of £350 for the new washer/dryer for my tenants and me forgetting that the tenancy renewal fee of £60 including VAT was due to be deducted from this months rent I am still going to be able to cope. I have had to shuffle one payment to a week later but it will still hit the account this month but will come out of next months wages.

Next month will be a bit tight but my backdated pay rise will help to mitigate this :j Without this challenge it would have been a completely different story. Thank you one and all

I will be out of touch now until at least Sunday evening but more likely Monday.

    Have a lovely weekend all

Well done abundant! End is in sight!

I agree re shock absorber bras! I have found the best value to be in house of Fraser where you can get a twin pack for £35. Only come in white though so end up looking manky as I wash with my dark gym kit! I have big boobies and they are excellent for body attack and combat!

Does anyone have girl called jacks cook book? Just wondered whether it was any good or if the best recipes are online? Don't find the site the easiest to navigate so thought it could be handy. she has another cook book coming out in oct.

So it's my last day today on holiday and will come in on budget :D also bought two new pairs of flipflops and a pair of trousers out of that :)

clippy_girl - I agree about the Girl called Jack website - really hard to use, I thought it would have been updated by now.

abundant - well done, you must be over the moon.

CEW - you are very lucky that someone will take in your pets, we take our dog on holiday but when we do have to kennel him its £15 a day.

Moneymash - the shock absorber bras as people have said are a brand name, I think the brand is Berlei, they are expensive and I am not happy that I have mislaid two, mine were the crop top style so they fit as you go up and down in weight. Check the impact level of the bra you are using as it may not be high enough for your exercise so you may still get some bounce.

Regarding flexibility, when I started exercising again in January mine was really bad, now it is hugely improved and I am almost back to my pre-children days. Just carry on and push yourself and it will get better.

Today may involve spending money, DS is helping run a stall for cubs at the church fete, we will probably spend a bit of money at the fete to support cubs and the church.

    Have a lovely day all.
