Morning all
Finally admitting defeat and reducing my SFDs down to three. Every time I declare that today's the day something happens and I fail again.
Today I am planning one but won't update until I get home0 -
MrsGSR - glad your op went well.
Xspender - I had some lovely exercise clothes but can't for the life of me find them, I had some addidas sets and some shock absorber bras and a few other bits, I think I must have thought I would never get back into them and got rid of them. I did find loads of brand new sports socks in the loft along with a few tops so at least I didn't get rid of everything.
Today will be a spend day as we are doing a grocery shop. Other than that today's plan is cleaning, dog walking, working and the gym.
Enjoy the sunshine folks.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi guys.
Situation with us has got worse - have discovered an item of jewellery and some money saved in a saving pot have been taken. Both of these items were in a cupboard beside my bed, the jewellery was in a box, they must have been through everything. The jewellery was a cross and chain given to me by my nana (not the one who was recently 90, this one has sadly passed away) for my confirmation. I feel deverstated. I know it's stupid, it's only things, but I am so upset. Police are now involved, its a really horrible situation.
Sorry to bring the thread down, hope everyone else is OK and hugs to others who are finding things difficult at the moment. MRSGSR so glad to hear op went well, wishing you a speedy recovery.Mortgage December 2023: TBC

Done at least half an hour of exercising - I am very lazy on my days off, so definitely need some extra moving to compensate that.
No spending today, which is good. Spent almost all of my budget for this month, which is not so good. This bloody new diet I am on is quite expensive!0 -
So sorry to hear that MagicCat
Today is SFD number 9 I think, will double checkVery impressed with this as we're not even half way through the month. Will definitely be spending tomorrow and Saturday, plus Tuesday and Thursday next week.
No more exercise done as been focussing on work things this week but got two gym visits planned this weekend and a run tomorrow.
Loving the gorgeous weatherhope it lasts until October now

Poor magicCat, don't apologise - we are here to support you.
Well the plan was to have a nice gentle day, slowly increasing the exercise intensity and possibly doing a few garden jobs that could be done sitting down on the box (it's lower than a chair, but higher than the ground so ie weeding can be done in a circle round it without straining my back and I can get up again when I need to) so that I would be fit to walk to mum's (and all intervening errands) tomorrow. That didn't happen.
DS2 turned up last night (possibly early this morning) in search of painkillers - he has an abscess. Told him which A&E to use if it goes critical (so he doesn't end up, up in the hills as DS1 did).
So he phoned this morning - he had a prescription for anti-biotics, could I collect his prescription, go and get it filled and pay for it (short interval whilst I hobbled all the way back upstairs to ask DS3 if he had enough cash to pay for a prescription and back to the phone). Promised DS3 the £10 would be returned next Friday (not tomorrow). DS3 asked about cordial - he ran out at the beginning of the week - and for white choc chip cookies. I said fine but in that case he wasn't getting the money back.
Before I left the house I had to ask DS3 for help 3 times (could have cried when I got to the front door and realised I hadn't taken a hay fever tablet - luckily leg was moving by then so managed up and down stairs again.
Decided if I was going to lose a NSD I was getting everything I needed. So called in at small Arseda (aka Netto Arseda). Bought ys courgettes, tiny tomatoes and fruit loaf + basics orange juice, diet decaf coke (thought I had given it up but it was shaping up to be 'one of those days') and 2 more packs of £1 a pack crispbread (not sure if sales of certain flavours are down or if they want people to try the whole range - some full price, 2 @ £1 and one 89p). Total £5.49.
Dropped a small cs donation into library, called for the prescription (left shopping with DS2), walked to Sainsbobs, dropped prescrition into pharmacy, got some of the essentials off my list (left items I knew were definitely cheaper at Tessimos). Spent ages assessing each purchase (won't bore you with the details) mainly fruit and veg but some things off secondary list (compiled from recipe books I have been looking at - things I need to make meals/ baked goods from things I already have in, looking ahead to July really). I thought their flour selection would be better than Tessimos - it was and bought another bag of wholemeal self-raising flour as it was ys to 99p (instead of £1.50). Bought a small burgen loaf as tessimo seem to have stopped doing them and it's hit and miss at Arseda. £16.96 less £12.50 nect*r points total £4.46 (so it is worth watching all those ads even if I only get 30p points a week).
Back to DS2 (everything getting slow and painful by now). Then to town hall to pay his Council Tax (he had forgotten it?) on my cc. Alternative was he wouldn't have the money he owes me tomorrow, so I couldn't put it in the bank and I wouldn't have enough to cover my Council Tax, so would have had to cancel, pay on cc and then re-instate my dd mandate. Took me so long to stand up that the council officer let me out through the side door (cuts off a corner).
Repacked everything (left by front door) and trudged to Tessimo (needed the trolley to hold onto and at one point had to stand holding on waiting for the pain to pass - had deliberately not taken more pills with me). Hit on a mountain of bargain veg. Yes they would be a lot cheaper at 7pm tonight but I knew that I had no desire to go back (and hope I don't have to go inside a sm until July). Spent £26.07 but have deducted DS3's £10 (bought him 4 bottles of cordial, white choc (no cookies - they have had issues, promised they would be in tonight, told DS3 if he wants them, he goes for them) and a cake.
Altogether have spent £26.02 + £4.50 for a taxi. Went via DS2's and asked the driver to go in for the rest of the shopping - he did and carried it all to the front door, even asked if I could manage the door key. not decided whether DS2 should pay for the taxi, just hoping he is well enough to work tomorrow and doesn't end up having an emergency op. DS3 came when called and took all the shopping into the kitchen - he even unpacked most of it. Was out for nearly 5 hours but am now back to resting, ate and had a little nap. Am comfortable as long as I don't try any sudden moves. Still want to walk tomorrow.
I have been bothered about my diet for a couple of days - it's adequate but not optimum. Have been feeling a little sluggish and craving that raw veg hit. Now have lots to work on and should be well set up for July.

Oops, got sidelined from posting my list yesterday, so here it is, a little late.
Yesterday I was grateful for sewing needles and thread, for lovely lovely friend who helped immensely, for chilled water, for cut grass and for utube.
Now it is Friday - yippee - and nearly the weekend! Have a good day everyone.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
