I did flower seeds the other day. I had taken them out the day before and put them down while I did a few other jobs. Forgot them and they got rained on so thought they might as well all go in the ground. However I got them in the sale - a collection of ten cottage garden flowers for 75p and the Scotch marigolds (big, a bit like gerberas but all orange) were from seed I collected from two years ago.

NSD - walked to town to pay money into the bank and walked slowly all the way back in the rain. Didn't dare go in the supermarket as was desperate for chocolate and just thought I would go mad throwing things in the basket if I went in. Then walked past a newsagents, a general store and a garage - all of which have chocolate.

Feeling a bit deprived today. Woke up really hungry and just wanted to be able to grab a couple of bananas (they are going to be on Wednesday's list) and not have to think about it. Decided to have some microwave sausages - not something I usually have in the house but they were on the reduced shelf a few weeks ago and they were due to be eaten today or tomorrow - not for breakfast though.

Tried to go out digging twice today - really wasn't feeling it this morning so was pleased that it started raining before I finished breakfast. Couldn't do my stork exercise last night or first thing, eventually tried putting the resistance band round my ankle and slowly drawing it into position. Done an hour's digging but plan to concentrate on physio exercises this weekend - appointment Monday.

Did another batch of rice salad and cooked veg in garlic and herb dressing (had with tinned sardines) and have prepared a pasta dish in the roasting tin and a couple of small pastry-less quiches but will cook them tomorrow as I want to do something else (may be sesame thins) to fill the oven - needed to get back outside before it started raining again.

Other than that, just plodding through paperwork. Feeling grumpy about paper. I am trying to use up all the scratty notebooks and loose bits first (collected as I have gone through each room in the house) but am getting annoyed with them- telling myself I am saving trees and thinking about the Bronte letters where they wrote across and then up and down the page in tiny writing isn't helping today. One of the wire bound ones has been bent out of shape so the pages don't turn properly. Will persevere - might get to use the pretty notebooks by Christmas.

Just doing the little bits today.

Well done on exercising instead of eating ice cream blue mango! Great will power!

Today has been a very spendy day. Did weekly shop and I'm convinced the budget will be blown by the end of the month, grrr. Also bought Father's Day gifts and cards (cards are 79p in Ald!). dolly do you mind if I ask what gifts you got for such great prices?

Exercise has been done in the form of a 45 minute bodypump class :) but didn't achieve 11000 steps, although I'm blaming that on the weather ;)

    Hello June Bugs...

I am at work. Until 0700. Deep joy. I have also realized I did not prep as well as I thought with food. Shoulda got more fruit and more chocolate. Mumsy's money was spent on microwave rice and lentils - they are going back. I will be getting real maple syrup, vegan marshmallows and making me some vegan rocky roads - after all it's treat money right??..

Am so annoyed I bought them in the first place. I NEVER impulse buy because of this feeling of making a mistake - I like knowing what I am going to get and planning. I was a little distracted by my friend who was with me which is another rule of mine. NEVER take someone else shopping with you.:mad::mad:

Grr! So I have enough food for the night, two cubes of dark chocolate, fruit, carrot and cucumber sticks, a dinner of lentil loaf and veg, crackers and babaghanoush (YUMMY) ............. slept in until 1230 and went back to bed at 1700 for a few hours so am well rested.

Still not looking forward to this shift... Will be reading through comments but I am wondering who else is up at this time of night...?

    Onwards and Upwards...

P.S - my friend is finally in labour. Might be a new baby by the morning!!! :T:T:T:T:T

    SFD - 3/12
    Exercise - 7/25
    Food - £58.37/£150
    Petrol - £19.05/£40
    Misc - £4.88/£150

    Morning all!

I ended up getting my food shopping yesterday because we were really low on milk/bread/fruit and I'm going to be spending today too :o I liked the method I used last month of counting SFDs if I only bought stuff from the supermarket (which had to be on a list, not an impulse buy) I might go back to that from next week...my problem isn't indiscipline in the supermarket, it's buying rubbish I don't need like cups of tea and chocolate bars.

Anyway, I got a good shop done yesterday including meat for a few meals and a massive bag of cat litter. Annoyingly we had to get the expensive stuff because I just didn't have time to go to Aldi as well as everything else (The Family Mooo is in town this weekend and it's all go!) but he'll be back on budget litter next week :D

Today I will have a low spending day, but still a spendy one. There's a rally in town and I'm off to go and look at supercars shortly. I'm meeting a friend for breakfast first.

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone!

No I don't mind. I don't go crazy on Father's Day gifts so it is just a card and a bit of something to go with it - here is what I got:

    3 x Father's Day 59p each Card Factory
    1 x Birthday Card 59p Card Factory
1 x Large box of Maltesers £3 (For FIL)
1 x Box of Shortbread assortment £2.50 (my Dad)
    1 x 4 pack of Guinness Draught £5 (DH)
1 x Large box of Liqourice Allsorts £3 (DH)
1 x World Cup 2014 Guide - Hardback Book £3.99 (9 year old boy birthday present).

I was chuffed because the birthday card and present weren't part of the £20 budget and the old me would not have been so sensible and would have spent much more.

Today should be a SFD. I am hoping the sun will stay out - yeah right. I am still feeling stuffed from the birthday BBQ we went to last night and DH is a bit hungover, he didn't drink much but he hardly drinks at all now so he is feeling the effects this morning. I only had a coke.

  • Yesterday was spend and with good reason. I bagged a yoga DVD for £8 on ebay nstead of paying £23 on amazon. The DVD will be my birthday gift for next month.

I also got paid an extra 200 from tax credits so paid it straight off the credit card. Debt free date is now a month early, august 7th 2014.

Exercise break day today. Hoping for a sfd today.

    Morning everyone...

My spend days aren't coming in thick and fast right now! Couldn't face my packed lunch of Friday, and Saturday was meeting a friend for lunch... Today *will* be SPEND FREE!!!

Nothing much to report otherwise... Still not been back to the gym which is bugging me... I just need to do it. Bought a book on spiritual abundance yesterday so will look forward to reading that today!

    Have a good Sunday everyone!

Just been to do weekly shop - spent £41.52 but have enough meals to last the rest of the month until OH payday (25th). Will just need to get things for both our lunches next week. Really need to start racking up the NSD to meet my target!

Lovely day today so washed and hung out 2 loads of washing already. Next job of the day is to sort spare room out and then do Zumba :)

Hope you are all enjoying the sun!

    Has the baby arrived yet?

I have found the receipt and breathed a sigh of relief before I went to bed this morning at 0800. Am back at work now and my friends HAD A LITTLE BOY!!!! :T:T:T:T

They haven't named him yet but this is the first baby that I have truly honestly felt the absolute joy for. I can only imagine what it's like having your own - but this little one and his 2yr old brother (who I love just as much although didn't know my friend as well as I did around his birth) are like my family. I would do anything for them.

    Can't wait to meet him!!!
