Expensive day today. Paid £2063 to clear biggest card and drew out £400 to clear family loan. Only have about £800 ish on DH card and we are debt free again:)
Then I had to have 4 tyres fitted on my car and get it serviced so that was nigh on £300 but it is 5 years since I last needed new tyres so hoping these will last as long.
£53.80 spent on food, face wash, 2 months of vits, a measuring jug, toaster bags, plasters and a cuppa while I waited for my car. If we didn't eat fruit and veg we would be rich:rotfl: total is now £184.16
No exercise today but planning a big session on sunday:)Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
MrsGSR sorry to hear your knee is so bad at the moment - not long now until the operation.
MagicCat oh no about the shower part! How annoying that it got thrown outKeep going, it'll all be finished soon.
NSK I wish I was near a zoo with bunnies! I'd go everyday for a cuddle.
What is the one thing better than a SFD? An expected spend day that turns into a SFD! I was expecting to have to pay for car parking when I went for my run in the country park but the machine wasn't working, so I left a note on my car instead. I also expected to have to buy bread rolls for OH to have for tea but he decided to buy himself a takeawayso today is SFD number 4 :j
Also did a 35 minute run, so exercise session number 2I also walked the dogs and have done 18257 steps

Made myself go back outside again last night but only managed to bring in the dry washing. NSD today. No heart racing but just tried for steady progress - knees no longer swollen but not fit for racing around. Phoned mum last night to say I wasn't going today and update on her latest round of doctor/hospital visits. She has also been going through the paper and has a list of 'potential' houses. I just need to get this ready and sold. Don't know why she thinks we might need a 5 bedroom:eek: (might be planning to draw a line through the middle with mine and hers - or shove me upstairs).
So what did I manage:-
Bath seal is done. Far from beautiful but if it doesn't split I don't care (did when Mrs builder did it and again when DS1 did it). So put it on really thick - not my favourite diy job - tried putting one of the cupboard doors across the bath to sit/ kneel on but ended up sitting on the edge of the bath with my feet in the water. If I need a bath before tomorrow night I will have to go to DS2's.
Folded all the old soil bags - they are a metre long and 1/2 a metre wide and tall. They have done an excellent job but I can't move them when they are full and since last summer have been gradually decanting the soil into smaller containers, then drying them out to release any leftover soil. Now they are all folded and stacked (used a plastic tub to press out excess air and have tied them all together, ready for the move.
Another load of washing has been out and everything including the pillows and quilts is back inside now. The pillows have been cased and the quilts will be duveted before bedtime - even if I have to crawl inside, dragging the quilt behind me and crawl out again - I know that isn't how to do it but it feels like all I am capable of. In fact there is a chance I may crawl inside, curl up and go to sleep.
Cut up several large cardboard boxes, taking up too much usable space and too big to be used for moving. Currently being weighted down with a clean brick until they decide to lie flat in the bin. Also have 2 waste bins of paper to go in. Spent last night in Ds3's room and will do so tonight - determined to sort out my room and it's easier to keep doing it as and when rather than moving things back onto the floor so I can get in the bed. It's time to move some things back downstairs, now I am mobile but if I can manage, I want to lay the laminate in the front room first.
Some digging/ weeding/ clearing has been done but not as much as I would have liked. Two hydrangeas in tubs and the washing up bowl filled with crocks, soil and spring onion seeds. Forced myself out to do another hour after tea but was really struggling. In between have watered anything that needed it and collected empty plant pots and rubbish (1/2 a bin bag - broken plant pots, pegs, wrappers). Got too tedious walking back to the kitchen every time I found a bit so started with a waste bin and moved to a binbag when that overflowed. Will try to get out tomorrow before the sun gets round the back.
Finished the rice salad for breakfast, tuna mousse later and liver curry for tea (liver cost 29p in Feb and curry was an experiment). taken out a couple of other hm ready meals to defrost so if I get through a lot but am then hungry, there is something to eat. Would like to walk to town and get money in the bank tomorrow (could technically wait until as late as Tuesday) will reconsider if I think I may need to catch the bus back (only a pound but it's my pound and I want to keep it).
Will try to do better tomorrow but can only push my body so far. So much I want to do but not worth risking a relapse.

Today is another NSD :j.
I am grateful for lovely colleagues, working in a place that cares about its staff, being outside at lunchtime, a few mins to myself before dd was dropped home, getting the lawn mowed - love the smell!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Morning all. Sorry not posted for a while-I've been totally knackered each evening
I have had just one spendy day this week. Some YS bread
Well the sun has well and truly disappeared, so it looks like another sfd for me possibly.
I made a home working application earlier in the year, not expecting anything and my kit has been delivered without warning, so I should be able to do 2 days from home now :T That should help stress wise, although that has got a lot better now
The things i'm grateful for, my family first and foremost, that we have our health and we always have a meal to eat. You guys are right, wealth is in many guises. Unfortunately, we are only programmed to be bothered about the monetary
I have been exercising most days and on the days I haven't making sure I'm t least stretching.
Well take care everyone and have a good weekend:A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0 -
Good Morning June Bugs,
What a 'lovely' wet day we have here today in complete contrast to the wonderfully bright day we had yesterday
Well yesterday was a SFD but today I have a few bits to get in town. So I have now clocked up a grand total of 2 SFD's out of 7. Not great but the first week of the month always has the main grocery and pet food shops so lots of spend days. All the places we need to go are in different directions which means it is difficult to combine them all on one day. I have planned one spend day each weekend and one mid week for any emergencies. Hopefully I will not need all of these and I will be able to beat my target.
Apparently yesterday was Workout At Work Day, good timing for this challenge NSK. So being a good little June Bug I printed of a set of the exercise postcards and started to try some at my desk. Luckily I sit right at the end of the office so I can do them reasonably discreetly
LTW again yesterday so on target for this one.
Due to the unexpected cost of a washer/dryer for my rental property I have revisited by budgets and hope to be able to knock my entertainment budget down to £75. This is half of the £150 I had budgeted for but needs must. It has helped that Mum has said she will have the Parrot as well as the 5 dogs, as long as we take his cage, when we go away overnight for a family wedding on OH's side. This saves me £25 in boarding fees :j
Have a lovely weekend everyone.

SFD - 3/12
Exercise - 6/25
Food - £29.16/£150
Petrol - £19.05/£40
Misc - £4.88/£150
Morning all
Things are still going well so far - I'm impressed that we're a week in to June and my miscellaneous budget has only leaked £5
Today may or may not be a SFD so I'm not counting it yet. I'm meeting my parents for a day in town and although I'm going to try and resist the shops I can't promise anything. I'm going to need to get food shopping today or tomorrow as well so I'm going to try and keep my spends to one day!
Have a lovely Saturday.0 -
Morning all,
Feeling rather energised this morning although the grey clouds have now rolled in and there is thunder nearby (no rain just yet but it can only be a matter of minutes now).
Got a gym class booked this morning but depending on the weather that may be my only official exercise. Going to try clean the house using as many steps as possible to reach my 11000 target. If all else fails, I'll go pace the aisles of the supermarket!
Definitely a spend day as I need some shopping but should then be on for at least 2 or 3 or maybe 4 SFDs in a row.
Have a lovely day, hope you all stay dryLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

MagicCat - I bet you will be glad to see the back of the tradesmen in your house, hope they manage to finish without any more hiccups.
Well done everyone on the debt repayments, everyone is doing so well.
Today is a big day for DS's football team, they are playing in a tournament so we are a bit miffed that it is supposed to rain, still dry at the moment but the forecast says rain from 10am. Our town is having a 1940's weekend and it will be a real shame if it throws it down all weekend.
May end up spending money today, but not much. Me and DD are spending the afternoon on our own so may do a bit of shopping.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
