    ooo noooo I broke!

Started off by putting £1 into a collection at work. And then because I split a fiver, I went out to the sandwich van and got some quavers and a crunchie, £1.45. oh well! I enjoyed it

I need to get a bottle of wine to take to mums later, so might swing home via aldi and get one from there. She's cooking up a storm, so that's the least I can do.

On the upside the OH was out last night, so rather than waste the salmon portion and prawns I had out for dinner, I had super noodles and 2 left over boiled eggs for tea. So that's one less meal for next week - bonus.

Overall been a pretty tidy week!
    Start date 25/05/2014 Total debt = £7896.55/£8173

Morning all. The sun is shining in yorkshire today.

Yesterday was a planned spend day as I did the grocery shop. I had a £5 Tesco voucher so did the bulk of it there but Sainsbobs is just around the corner so I called there because they have better offers on meat. I got a huge chicken which will do 3 meals, and a pack of British Lamb and some duck legs both of these were YS. Also picked up some packs of YS harvest grain rolls for lunches.

Today should be a SFD, I am catching up on lots of jobs at home, walking the dog then going to a school event this afternoon. This evening I am calling at my parent's house to set up their new fridge which is being delivered today.

I need to spend money tomorrow on Father's day presents (budgeted for) and a childs birthday present (not budgeted for).

I missed checking in yesterday had a busy afternoon, off work, doing up garden furniture, my neighbour was throwing out, sanded, replaced slats and painted and for cost of ten pounds look wicked. Yesterday sfd and today will no sfd. Need milk but will take milk home from work as will be out of date by Monday.
All that sanding and sweating yesterday got on the scales this morning and 2lbs lighter. Did have a salad for tea, oh and cake plus wine so not sure if this weight will stay off lol.

    Happy Friday June Bugs!

I have been feeling a bit discouraged today - bathroom is nearly done, but plumber cannot find front panel for the shower, I know it was delivered, but I fear it may have gone in the skip when the builders were frantically trying to clear all their mess for the plasterers, they put bathroom cabinet in by mistake but I saw that and rescued it. So only way is to buy a new shower tray fix kit, at least 35. Feels like a step forward, ten steps back again.

BUT coming on here is always such a help - applemuncher and abundant, you are so right, I need to notice and focus on the good things. So today I am thankful for being able to get the new panel - will just have to cut down spends elsewhere - for it being Friday, and most of all that my friend's baby is out of hospital.

SFD and exercise yesterday and this morning, will be a SFD today if I don't get the panel - may order tomorrow as delivery will be no quicker and I will be grocery shopping anyway.

Take care all, and thank you for positive inspiration!:A

    Hi all

The bank account is looking super healthy today but only because the monies from one savings account and my redundancy money have hit:(. It won't be like that for long though as we bought a laptop last night and I am paying off the biggest card balance in full today:)

We only have an iPad and no access to a desktop so the laptop is for my job hunting, writing cvs and ofcourse some funky spreadsheets to keep track of our cash and challenges:D

    Food £265/£136.16
    SFD 12/2
    Exercise 16/2
    Hols £309/64.57
    Lose 7lb -weigh in Monday
3 things to see and do list/0
    Cut down sugar - nope
No takeaways 30/5 (DH had a kebab last night)
    No weekday wine 20/3

I had made a meat and a veggie bolognaise last night but we were so late back from buying the laptop and DH had not eaten at work he had a takeaway on the way home and I made a tortilla pizza when I got in. So it's bolognaise tonight and the rest will be moved to the freezer.

More spends today as I am going to aldeee for the weekly shop, it's ages since I went there:o, and a pound shop for a measuring jug and spoons as all my tablespoons have disappeared.

Tomorrow DH is doing some work for MIL in the morning and we are going to cinema in the afternoon as DS is sleeping over at mil. We are hoping to do a good walk or bike ride Sunday if the weather is as nice as today.

Eeek my current account is looking pretty tight! No more spending now AT ALL on that!
Went to market and got some fruit and ingredients for my granola. Also got DHs birthday present-a razor, a useful present!
Tomorrow should mark a row of spend free days as I won't be going anywhere. I'm in a lot of pain with my knee at the moment so I can't really go too far, walking into town today was agony :(

day 6 of the abs challenge done! (ouch!!) Also 2/15 NSDs now so progress! Saved almost a weeks groceries, just by using stuff up. Should of shopped on Monday, thought I would never last the week but have done it! Will have to go tonight though I think, although I will have a good look at the freezer and see if I can go a bit longer. So saved about £50 to go towards the debt! Also been selling a few of youngest's clothes that he has grown out of, so an extra £9 so far. (Not getting much for them, but £9 is better than nothing!) Its been a good first week of June, feeling great :)
    mortgage £800 overpayment 2022. £600/£2400 2023 🙂 savings £1853/£1800 😊

    Hello June Bugs....

Just over an hour to go and I am outta here. Another SFD under my belt if I can make it home ok. Haven't heard from a friend I was to meet up with so I might be able to get home and do a little more foody prep for the weekends upcoming madness.

Nothing wild in NSK land - last of the silly but tickets bought. I have taken £2.90 out of the food money and £2.90 for yesterday out of the money I was going to give the beautician as a tip...sorry girlie....

And today I am grateful for my job,, my health and the ability to walk home should I decide too, my lovely friend I am meeting later (maybe) and the little city zoo that's close enough to work that I can meet the bunnys everyday... YEAH!!

    Fringe tickets bought :D:D

£58 spent from my Fringe budget and that's got me 7 shows - less than £8.50 per show. :money: I've made a lot of use of the two for one offers they do this year.

Aside from these, I have another few things I paid for before, so I have a total of 12 booked so far. Many more to follow I'm sure if I'm to beat last year's total of 25 shows seen. I do make use of shows in the "Free" festival, but they always pass a hat around afterwards so they are never really free. I gave one man a crispy ten pound note last year because he was as good as anything I had paid for.

As I said, I do budget for Fringe through the year because it's such an amazing arts festival. It's as important as any of my other budgets to me :D

A good friend is coming from Ireland for the weekend during August too and I'm looking forward to showing her the city. I think the sunshine today is making me all happy and positive!
