Given the other things I've admitted on here, I'm wondering if I can ask your advice on something that is a little embarrassing?
How long do STI's take to show up? I think ex had been messing around... but it could be something else maybe? Just wondering. It's been a long time since we last were intimate, and I was injured quite badly resulting in an infection from anal tear. So anti biotics cleared up the infection after a while, then it came back Had another lot and it did go. But now I've got other symptoms down there and I'm a little worried. Sorry to be so graphic, but as you know I have no one else to talk to about this.0 -
hey sweetie glad to see you've been doing better
STIs can take years to show up best thing to do is just go to the doctor or local family planning clinic and get yourself checked out it really isnt that bad personally i've had a couple when i was a teenager you might as well just go and get a clean bill of health so get a HIV test as well it only takes a minute but it is one hell of a long minute and then you dont have to worry about it again
PS any sorbet left i really fancy some nowThe only people I have to answer to are my beautiful babies aged 8 and 50 -
I'm glad to hear what you've been up to, rosie. I sometimes get chatting to strangers, it's lovely. What type of cake did you have?
I never had a grandad either. I find elderly people so interesting, they always have good stories to tell.
That's great news about the birdwatching group.Did you get some decent birdseed?
Please don't apologise for being graphic, we all have the same bits! And we're glad that you ask us for advice. As double mummy says, you can go along to the doctor to have a few simple tests done. I did the same when I ended my marriage, just in case. It was my first time there, and the staff made me feel so at ease. Why not promise yourself another coffee in town afterwards?
Oh and I would love some of your watermelon sorbet!Life is a gift... and I intend to make the most of mine :A

Hi Rosie, have you thought about any volunteering? I'm treasurer for a sports club and have met some fantastic friends through that. Also I volunteer with contact the elderly once a month, charity to help stop loneliness in the elderly, the people that drive the older guests and host the tea parties are all so nice and it makes such a difference!0

I had considered volunteering but it feels like a little too much pressure? I'm not sure. but it's something I was to do when im better mentally I think. thank you.
oh the water melon sorbet? LUSHreally nice. and Friday is going to be lovely weather (hopefully) so I shall have some time with the birds.
been doing some research on best type of seed to get. cpn is going to come with me and we are going to the next town to buy some more once I've established that they DO sell it there. can't wait.
really like her. hope I don't annoy her too much. I can't help being the way I am sometimes.

Hey Rosie, you need to take some time to recover after what you've been through. Don't worry at the moment about not being able to support people on here at the moment, you'll be able to do that sooner than you think.
What recipe did you use for the water melon sorbet? I'd love to try it.
Enjoy your time with the birds xxGood enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -
I'd quite like the watermelon sorbet recipe, too. It sounds delish!
Re the birds:
It's a bit funny, but if I'm sitting under a parasol, the birds don't seem to know I'm there, and come nearer, providing I don't move. Sometimes that also happens when I'm wearing my wide-brimmed straw sun hat. Having your face shaded/screened seems to make you invisible!
My theory is that it's because your eyes are shaded. Birds can see ultraviolet light, I believe, and I think our eyes may shine like neon lights under uv light. Or it could be that our skin does. The birds' colours and markings look so different under uv light; it explains why the markings are there! It is all so interesting!
What do you mean, you don't support us? I've seen several of your posts where you are very helpful! And you'll be giving us your watermelon sorbet recipe, WON'T YOU, Rosie?:D(I just lurve spiders!)

Hello rosie.
I'm glad that you're going to give yourself some time to heal before seeking volunteering opportunities. You're putting yourself first for a change, and I'm proud of you. Like the safety announcement on a plane, you can't help others unless you put your own mask on first.
And the same goes for supporting others on here. You need to build up your own reserves.
Your CPN sounds absolutely lovely. Please don't think that you're annoying her, it's her job to help you. And helping you to find good birdseed is a very worthwhile thing to do!
Also, I'll join the queue for your lush watermelon sorbet recipexxx

Hi Rosie,
I thought about you this morning. I was looking out my kitchen window and I had several sparrows and a couple of blackbirds having their morning bath in my containers of rain water. They looked so happy and carefreeI do think about you whenever I see the birds in my garden and it brings a smile to my face that you taught me to watch the birds
I hope you've had a good day xx0
