    Thank you xxx

10.30pm is a hard time for me. It's usually when I had to go to bed. I can go at anytime I want now, but often find that at that time it's when I need company the most which is when I come log back on here. But tonight I'm actually tired so think I will go to bed soon. BUT

IT'S MY CHOICE TO GO AT 10.30PM :D

Pyxis - I think you're right, though they will get used to you if you spend enough time out there. I can move my phone now and get quite close up pics of them. All was fine till the fat pigeon landed on the fence and frightened the life out of me which in turn sent the birds all away. It WAS funny though.

    Ok. So watermelon sorbet recipe?

    PART 1:

    Buy a water melon.

    PART 2:

    coming tomorrow ;)

Ooh you are a tease! :rotfl:

You are so right! You can go to bed WHENEVER you want to! And get up when you want to, and eat when you want to, and sloth out on the sofa when you want to, and have a long bath when you want to, in fact, you can do anything you want to, whenever you want to!!

    hey rosie and pyxis

hope you are both doing well

i think someone should make me some of that sorbet i tried to make some and it just turned into this weird lumpy mush - was quite nice blended with some vodka though :)

did you manage to get to the doctors?

there is a bird at work that will come right up to the people in the smoking area and just stand on the fence next to them and kind of bob his head as they are talking

Hugs, rosie. I hope you have a good sleep tonight.

As you know from my other thread, I'm having a difficult time of it too. I find the mornings the hardest atm. Isn't it strange how our minds work? But it's good to come on here and talk when you need to. We're always here.

I'm off to buy a watermelon tomorrow :) xx

I'm ok, double mummy. Still feeling a bit low, but starting to have faith that it'll get better. Thanks for asking. How are you? xxx

    I'm glad that you've recovered, I didn't know that you'd had surgery.

    And thank you again xxxx

:DI get plastic cups from Sainsbury's - pour the sorbet in and then freeze.

easy to get out of freezer to stir every couple of hours, and are then the perfect size for a portion.

    One large watermelon
    1 cup of caster sugar
    2 cups of water

melt the sugar in the water on low heat then bring to the boil
cook for a couple of mins then take off heat
    allow to cool

cut the water melon up into chunks
    try a bit or two
blend the water melon leaving a small bowlful to one side
    try a bit more
sieve the watermelon and reserve the juice
eat a little more of it
you may need to sieve a couple of times to make sure all the juice is out
yup .. time to eat some more

    add a pinch of salt

mix juice and sugar water together with juice of half a lemon

mix well and pour into your dish/cups/etc

aim to mix every couple of hours as otherwise the sugar water will sink to the bottom and you want it all nicely mixed
