    And...?

Its been what, a month since you heard from him, and you only met a month or two before that?

This is not some great romance Tay, this is not the key to your future happiness.

Block that number, get to a counsellor and start learning how to be happy on your own. I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but your response to this 'relationship' just doesn't seem at all healthy to me.

I agree totally. I'm finding this post and it's 300+ comments weary. I've loved and lost and fell hard in the past but when somebody doesn't want you they don't want you regardless of how much you beat yourself up over it. Cry, dust yourself off, get angry, move on. Yes it's hard and soul crushing but this thread IMHO is unhealthy. Just my opinion of course.

Delete the text and get on with your life. If it's confusing you, it's clearly not "I'm sorry, I'm the worst cad ever, and here is what I am going to do for you."

You deserve someone who is not going to mess with your head.

    Again. NEXT!

Do NOT give him power over you by getting involved again. You have had enough of people trying to control you!

Not wanting to intrude but if the text was confusing maybe it would be an idea to share it, then we might be able to throw some light on it. Give you an impartial perspective.

Tayforth I guess knows well what we going to say . As per brassicwoman reply , there is nothing to interpret there - if its not full clear account with apologies unreservedly on his knees (to be honest not sure even that one would be good enough ) then there is nothing to interpret and think about.

    I guess tayforth now
hinks whether to tell him how it affected her before cutting contact or just not reply.
The word "dilemma" comes from Greek where "di" means two and "lemma" means premise. Refers usually to difficult choice between two undesirable options.
Often people seem to use this word mistakenly where "quandary" would fit better.

I understand where you coming from re unhealthy , people are fallible though and react disproportionately often and go through the grief differently , its been just a few days since it happened , I am sure op will process it and not get stuck on it for the next couple of years , don't see much wrong in sharing one 's pain when its acute and hope this thread was helpful to her .

  • Come on Tayforth share the text we have lived through this with you!

He is of course messing with your head give you his all then pull back wait a while then creep in again for some more mind games, if you want the constant dramas for the sake of a wonderful few days of his falseness then go for it but if you want an easy life having read through how the ex treated you then reply to text something like, "My partner is unhappy with you texting me so I wish you well in the future blah blah blah!, take all power away from him!

This is someone's real life, not a TV programme. Let Tayforth share what she feels comfortable with sharing.

She seems to be dealing with this in the best way that she can.
