Does he ever do anything you ask him? All his behaviour towards you seems to have been embedded in him for a very long time. Even teenage boys rarely manage to do a complete volte face overnight.
he used to, he even said he "agreed" with house rules for wifi/phone after 9pm curfew etc.
has has packed a bag to go out but not left yet, I only switched change wifi password at 1015 this morning and it seems like all hell has been let out of a bag with him.0 -
TBH I think I'd have packed his bag for him..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)0 -
you confused me..if help him back bags he will take this as a I am pushing him out and will definitely go, he is already said he prefer to sit in park alone than stay with me. he got limited choices as his other parent has refused to have him over the holidays even for a few days!Exactly what I posted.
he is upset with me as I checked his texts and now changed wifi...0 -
If he were mine, and was insisting that he WAS going out of the day, then I would have done as a friend did when her 13 year old was being a brat ......she locked all his jeans/shorts/trousers in her car! Okay - he could go out - but he wouldn't have any kecks to wear!0

Almost teenage boys are a bundle of hormonal angst & don't understand why they feel so angry & out of sorts.
The think they're nearly men & start challenging the order of their world.
Be firm & be consistent but also praise the good bits & tell them you love them.
Kids today swear a lot. You can't stop it but my rule was not in my house.Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0 -

I wrote bag, not bags. So......... I would have packed his bag for him politely asked if I'd left anything out that he needed, opened the door, wished him an enjoyable day and said I'd see him whenever he decided to turn up - if I was in!.................

Where did he get the money to go out ?
I give him £5pw pocket money, decide to still give him it even when he is bad, otherwise he goes out all day and wont event buy lunch. he does get pocket money bonus if he helps, but typical he refuses to do any help.
so I refuse to give him back his phone, so he said that its I am off....just left with his backpack full of some snacks and a drink.
if he apologized to me I and ask what are fair rules then I would have give him back his phone, but wifi use after 11pm is not acceptable to me for his age. He was already playing with his tablet till 1030pm, and the complains its the holidays he should be allowed anytime!!0
