Scan been going for 33 mins and 36 detected objects been that for a while though, just have to wait to see what it says when it's finished I guess
Scan seems to have finished now but no option to tick them just either qurantine , add exclusion or ignore once. So I presume I just click apply actions0 -

Malwearbytes has been successful and I'm restarting the laptop.0 -
Ahh, problem-solving via forum - isn't it fun;)
Assuming those 36 Malwarebytes found issues were removed...
1. check for unrequired programs installed (by accident)
WINDOWS key +X
Programs and Features
Click on "Installed On" Column and tell us anything that's been installed since you got the laptop. e.g. if JollyWallet is there you can zap that straight away
2. reset browser settings as linked to before

EDIT: and if its a new laptop and you're not getting anywhere next step is "windows 8 referesh" which I'll add in a moment.

Yes I do appreciate the help but atm I'm looking at the start screen and when I click on something nothing happens0 -
