My Ex hubby & father to my child won't give me his new address

Does he have to supply me with his new address when he finally finds somewhere to live? He's stating he won't give it to me. I've said I'd need to know due where my daughter is when she visits him. I also need it for things like her school etc. Can he refuse giving it to me?

Thanks

Well, he can, yes, but tell him if he wants your daughter to visit, you want the address.

    Otherwise, don't let her go.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Yes that's really good, use the daughter as a pawn. Doesn't matter that the daughter will want to see her father, that she loves and misses her father.

What a terrible piece of advise, to use your own child as some bargaining chip, pathetic really.

OP ignore Morglin. OP, don't play fast and loose with your daughters happiness, if your ex doesn't want to give you his address, he has that right. He is an adult and the father of your daughter, I'm sure when he was your husband you trusted him to care for and look after your daughter, to have your daughters best interests at heart. That shouldn't change because you and he no longer are no longer in love.

No, common sense, because, as a mum, there is no way I would have let my little girl go to an unknown address. A mums first duty is to her kids, not a silly man playing hard to get with basic information.

What if there is an emergency?

Why is her ex so childish he won't give out his address?

Typical response from blokes with an axe to grind, and one to be ignored, I hope.

Probably in case there is an emergency, and I cannot see why someone wouldn't supply it.

If the school has a mobile number and the father can be contacted if the mother isn't around, isn't that sufficient? Why would the school need to know his address?

If I had a child visiting her father I'd want and need to know where she would be going.

No address equals no overnight visits.

Even if your ex provided his address, during his contact with your daughter he can take her wherever he pleases (as long as she is safe), so could spend the night at an old friend's, his aunt, his grandmother, his parents etc etc. You can also do the same when you have your child - do you tell your ex where your child is every moment of every day.

A friend of mine refused to give his ex his address when he moved home as his ex was a raving lunatic, stalking him etc, eventually she did find out the address via their son and did continue to stalk, even ringing from outside his flat, thinking he wouldn't notice she was outside. It stopped when he contacted the Police.

I would want to know as well but it isn't a legal requirement that the NRP gives an address to the the RP. After all, you could know the NRP's address but the child may spend all their time at completely different places - new GF/BF's house, other family members, with friends.

Once the child has been collected you don't know where the child is going.

No Axe to grind here, I have no children. I do have eyes though, and I can see the way that good fathers are treated in this country is appalling.

One day a father can be living with his child with all the responsibilities that entails, then, the next day he has to go to court for 'access', what a word to describe a father visiting his children, all because the relationship with the mother has broken down. The relationship with the child is as strong as ever, but, that doesn't seem to matter to you Morglin.
