I want intimacy because of insecurity, but she wants to feel trusted, but like I say, rationally, I totally believe and trust her, irrationally, I just think stupid thoughts :-(

It's been said that men want sex to feel close to their partner, and women need to feel close to their partner to want sex. It's amazing that heterosexual relationships work sometimes. :)

If I was your wife I would swing from being furious at you for not trusting me, sympathetic for your position given the continuous accusations, terrified that you and others may believe it, fear for my reputation and that this will always be remembered, upset that this was happening to me, not want to go out due to the whispers but angry that these lies should modify my behaviour, and back to being furious at you for not letting it drop when you say you don't believe it and do trust me. Sound familiar?
Don't listen to me, I'm no expert!

I've never had trust issues with my wife, this is why all this was such a shock, and my counsellor was nowhere near as good as you lot!

    This story changes a lot.

Precisely my thinking. What happened to the sympathetic wife? How did the sil suddenly become a general raving psycho that wasn't in the op?

Story changes to accommodate responses.Make it seem more plausible and innocent.

I believe there is a term for this....

I never said my sister in law wasn't nuts, and my wife has been sympathetic, but also very upset, frustrated, angry etc, the story hasn't changed at all, everything I've said is how it's happened, emotions don't stay exactly the same over a period of something like this happening

Your wife has gone from sympathetic to kicking you out! That's quite a large detail to miss out of the OP.
  • Sounds like she's horny when she gets back from a night out.....What could be making her horny while she's out drinking?

In my case, it's the alcohol combined with having a good laugh with mates at the pub (all guys, by the way), then coming back home to the guy I actually want to make love with.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

As I said, she suffers terrible PMT, we argued one night about the whole thing and she told me to leave, I was gone for about half an hour
