Yes I too have be caught out :( , after a very tense call , they offered to refund the latest payment and £30 of the previous 2
payments, they have taken £269.69 from me ! They made me send and email saying I wouldn't make any claim against them in the future , like a mug I did. However the next day I called the police who gave me a number to call , I eventually spoke to a consumer advise group . After explaining all they informed me that Leor have breached 3 consumer rights and I needed to send a recorded delivery letter outlining all of the breaches and giving them a deadline for my money to be refunded to my bank and if it us not I will be taking legal action. I wait with baited breath !
    Lloyds tsb. Won 913pounds
Capital One Bank . Won 806.18 pounds.(awaiting cheque)
G E Money . MCOL CLAIM FOR 330 Pounds.
  • We have also been caught out by these scallywags!

Fortunately, I contacted my credit company (MBNA) and they will refund the money. They are aware of the company and have had many cases like this it seems - so I suppose the hardwork of convincing them this was fraudulent/not authorised had already been done.

And, no, my girlfriend does not look 10 years younger! Double-duped!! ;)
  • I too thought I was getting a free sample but then £79.00 taken from account. Phoned the number I found on their website and ! have to return the cream, cancel the subscription that I didn't think I had taken out, and they will refund. But I'm still out of pocket 2.99 postage to them for sending it and whatever it will cost to send it back today. Beware LUMAGENEX.
Free number to ring is: 0800 949 6912.

    A small price to pay.
  • This is supposed to be a 14 day trial , how are you supposed to return the goods if you gave trialed them ? They slammed the phone down on me today refusing to refund the full amount that they have taken from my account . I won't let them win and will now go to the small claims court, when I've found out how to do so :/

Hello Frankie27, welcome to the forums.

If you read the other posts on this thread you will find all the answers you need.

Put simply, you need contact the supplier or your bank to cancel the Continuous Payment Authority you set up, and also get a returns authorisation from the company to allow you to return the goods. It is important you cancel your ongoing subscription.

The posts don't actually tell you what you need to do as none of us know! Seems we are all still out of pocket and these robbing b******s are still getting away with it !

    What?

Did you bother to read the post you quoted?

    Particularly this bit:

Now, if you have a specific question, I'll be happy to try to help you, but if you are looking for someone to do the work for you then it would perhaps be best is you spoke to a solicitor.
  • Thank goodness I found this thread as I was about to do a trial via Beauty Testers Panel and thought hmmm better check this one out. This was via an advert on the Daily Mail online page. This thread has potentially saved me a lot of headaches (and wrinkles of which I have enough already thanks very much).
