A £10 spend yesterday on a multipack of chewing gum (Mr Mooo is quitting smoking!), a book from the poundshop about WWII which Papa Mooo will get for Father's Day and £8 on dinner out with friends.
An enforced SFD today as a cash machine didn't dispense my £20 yesterday and I have to make a claim to get it back. It could take up to 10 days to get it backAt least it's payday tomorrow.

I am away on hols again today and have lost the plot with my targets when I tried to check them yesterday:o. Will start afresh for next months challenge. I have been setting myself some mini goals for June inlcuding raising half the money for our July hols.
I received my last salary payment today as am redundant as of next week. A little sad but it is a weight off my mind now it is all done and dusted. I am looking forward to concentrating on my 'downshifting' plans.
All this talk of exercise on the thread has had my checking out the cost of joining our local council gym now I will actually have time to use it. I would have access to classes, pool and gym at three different leisure centres for £28/month. I would only use the pool and classes but would only need to go twice a week to make it cost effective. I need to have a good think as it is a minimum 12 months membership and I may go back to work before the end of the year. I have already arranged to go once a week with my friend which would cost almost £5 a go on its own.
It is chucking it down today and I have no car but need to go into town to get euros and post a card abroad. The car is in for its mot which hasn't been too bad but needs 4 new tyres:eek: I have £200 saved up for this but it is going to cost double:eek:
See you all next week/on June's challenge:)Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
Pay off £7000 - £1743 - 19.4%
Make £2021 extra income - £99.750 -
Morning!
I didn't get round to posting yesterdayso today makes 14/31 daily posts.
Still an SFD though, 15/15!!!!!:j

First time ever on these challenges I've actually made the SFD target! :T :T :T
Going to be a rush to get everything done today and get to the polls, but shouldn't be spending any more money apart from expensable fuel (which doesn't count). So I'm actually going to be OVER target! How fab is that?!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Well done Apple Muncher for your new star.. How are they counted then cause I want another one! ..lol!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Hi all.
It is raining here too. Today will be a SFD. I have a bid on an item on ebay which finishes today so that will be a few more pounds.
I tried to buy a part for our lawnmower recently on ebay and had no paypal money so wanted to use the debit card linked. It wouldn't let me do it so I contacted paypal and they said it was a higher than usual risk and I should try later but offered no better explanation. It is the same card which has been linked for 8 years. Anyone else had this?Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hello Tributes,
Where has the sun gone??!!
Interview was not so good -one of those frustrating situations where you know exactly what went wrong the minute you've left (and actually during it...) but just didn't manage to do all the things you'd practiced doing before hand. So a bit sad - it's never nice to be rejected. but on the bright side, I have a job with a lovely team at the moment, so at least I will stay working with great, supportive people. I am a great believer that what is for you will not go by you, so although my plan included the job change, it's not to be, and I'm sure I'll realise why when I look back in the future.
Spend day yesterday as well - 1.79 on bananas and bread.
SiannieLaz - so sorry to hear access requirements have changes, it must be really frustrating. You will get where you want to, it's just very annoying when it's suddenly going to take longer than you'd hoped.
Moomin - how annoying about cash machine, i suppose it's one way to stop spending though!
Xspender - sorry to hear about redundancy but it sounds like you are making it into a really positive opportunity to downshift and have some time to do other things. Enjoy the hols!
Lotti :jSFDs! Beating target with over a week to go is fab! am hoping I'm going to get a couple of extras in too.

Morning!
A spendy few days, a wheel bearing went on the car and because we are going to legoland next week I thought I should get it seen to! Cost £130had to put it on my 0% on spending card. I must admit a few things are going on there BUT I have set up a payment to pay a large amount a month, I guess that makes me a DFWer again hey?
Today I got paid so I sorted all the money out for the month, including spends for next week. Will be leaving my cards at home and just taking my AA card and my work discount card, so chuffing excited, I hope my knee holds up.
I'm so proud that I managed to pay for the whole lot, it's been lots of scrimping and saving but will be worth it, all spends will be in cash so can keep track of things.
I've asked work if I could do two 6 hours days instead of three 4 hour days, I've realised I need a rest in the middle because I'm a wreck by Friday afternoon, I'm hoping they agree then I can start after I have had my operation.
Hope everyone has a good day, will be off to vote on the way to work later.Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0
