Hi Tributes,
Be strong Kat - you can do it!
Sorry for the lack of check in yesterday - crazy busy day in work and then was out in the evening. Not a NSD, sadly, as I bought some hot chocolate to have in work instead of tea.
Long day in work again for me, then evening spend panicking/preparing for interview. Very nervous - have written my presentation as had to submit the slides yesterday but am becoming more and more convinced I'm doing it from the wrong angle...need to stop thinking about it really! Thanks for the good wishes Siannielaz
Fness - wedding abroad sounds fab! :jRe: gluten free crackers - Glutafin do crackers and crispbreads (PIP codes 009-3302 and 338-443) and so does Juvela (337-9576 and 236-6136), barkat does crackers and crispbreads (342-7457 and 341-0420) and wharburtons do wheat and gluten free bran crackers (378-4865) which I've never tried but sound quite nice.
Stewby - the wedding sounds lovely, I went to one last year that got everyone to bring a cake and did a 'wedding bake off' competition, I thought it was a really nice idea too.
Dolly - hope you are enjoying gym membership! I have one too, i know it is a cost but I have found it well worth it for making sure I get my exercise when the weather is bad.
Hismissus - well done for the car boot, that is fab! I've never done one, what sort of things do you sell? i'm not sure I have anything anyone would want but might be worth a try.

I have moved them. After having a sniff. Then had a oat and chia seed "pudding" with seeds and blueberries on top. That did it. I am now stuffed with no room for chocolate brownies... Although viewing the vegan chocolate at Hotel Chocolat.... :rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Stay strong KAT.
Good luck MagicCat. Whatever happened to normal interviews where you turned up and had a good chat with the interviewer and they used their people skills to decide whether you would be a good candidate for the job. I used to be a recruitment consultant and had to interview lots of people, I always got to the real person I think, and then job matched them. Most interviewers these days have no interviewing skills.
Today will be a SFD, I have been out for a bike ride and got a puncture 2 miles from home at the bottom of a hill so had to push the thing home. I am now over that after having a lovely shower and a coffee and will be dog walking before lunch, then lunch and work and after tea to make up for the bike ride fiasco I will run like the wind.

Time for a good old fashioned update. But first... Ooooooooooh fmess!!!!!! we will have to get the diary back on the go so we can talk about all this smushy sort fo stuff. So excited for you!!!!!!

Well.... funny story on the spend-free days. I took scottish money to England and they didn't like it. As a result, OH paid for everything.
Friday and Monday were spendy days as I bought the petrol (we halved the cost) and I bought a costas on the way home for us.
So... long story short, I now have 11 out of 15 for spend-free days.
:j
I didn't have any of this in my monthly budget as my Dad gave me money that he had saved from my big account. He is so good at looking after me.
Hope everyone is keeping well.

I had a good shopping day today - spent well and only 31p of stuff wasn't on the list. Got in a good lot of walking plus a sweaty workout. But pulled 2 muscles! Didn't notice the second one til hours later as the first one was clamouring for attention. It's as day has turned into evening that I realise just how stiff I've become!
Another TT to mortgage. Keeping on top of NOT spending is a nice feeling!
Just another 11 days of May left, tho that includes half term so will impact on NSD unless I'm careful! I guess that's why kat requires us to plan ahead! Dd want sto go to the Isle of Wight or Legoland. I'm thinking more of the local park!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Evening All,
Managed another SFD today, as my dad popped round and brought milk!!
I did go to MrT today as I opened a savings account with them, and wanted to put some money in there. It was 2 bags of 50p, a bag of £1 and a bag of £2, but they refused to accept them! The snotty mare on the desk said 'we don't take coins, that's why we have a coinstar machine'. I did point out that I wanted to pay MY money into MY account and not put it into a machine that would take a % off me and give me a voucher. She just kept repeating 'we don't take coins'As I had dd with me, I left before I got really annoyed. Am going to complain, but will have write a letter as they don't have an email address and only an 0845 number. Walked to the post office and put the £ in my c0-0p ac, and when I tried to transfer it, was told my card reader was in error and I'm now locked out of internet banking!! Another 0845 number, was on hold for 10 mins then gave up. AAARRRGGGGGHHHHHHH.
Only opened the account to get the temptation of having cash out the house, didn't think it would be this difficult!!!
Other than that, not much going on!
Have totally lost my motivation for exercise, don't know why and don't know how to get it back? Any ideas or tips anyone???

Another SFD - not sure how long this will last. Can think of a couple of substitutions I can make but having 2 boys in the house is taking its toll - they are getting through a toilet roll a day. I checked last week before going shopping and we had plenty and now I keep looking in the bathroom cupboard (as I reclaim yet another empty tube) and there are only 2 left + 1/2 out and some downstairs (not a lot). So spendy day when I put out the last roll - will not be much as I will use a coupon so only the few pence over to make sure I can use the coupon but this is my life now? Daily checking the toilet roll?
Good day otherwise - lots of useful bits in the garden (green bin is half full of weeds with a whole week to go) - potatoes all in bags, two shrubs planted, holly bush propped up with an old spade, rubbish cleared. Just disappointed that it had started to rain as I wanted to get the remaining onions planted out. The ones I did a few weeks ago are flourishing but I ran out of potato sacks (trying to keep everything vegetable moveable). By the time I bought the extra sacks, I was confined to resting.
Also fighting the urge to buy chocolate - wondering if it's better to buy a small bar to prevent bingeing later. Maybe a fruit yoghurt with porridge oats will work. Will go and defrost the last lump of cheese now.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Evening tributes!
Am well impressed with all the exercising going on! I did titter slightly at the puncture Dolly84 hehe - but you rose to the occassion and then went for a dog walk and a run!!! <swoons>... To those of you thinking of joining a gym... I love my gym membership - and i think if i just did pay as you go - I wouldn't!!! SiannieLaz - i find i just have to switch my brain off from thinking about it and just galvanise my body into walking in the general direction of the gym... once I'm there all resistance goes... Mind over matter!!!
Good luck with the interview Magic Cat - I really hope you get the job!!! Sending you lots of good vibes!!!
Kat - that's funny! I had chocolate brownies at work too - a girl who's birthday it was brought them in... it would have been rude not to have eaten one!!!
SFD claimed today! Hoorah!!!
