Good Morning Tributes...
Lots to get through this morning so if you get bored half way through and distracted by watching something out the window I don't mind....
First things first = bog roll! I don't buy mine. I am VERY lucky with the landlord. As much as he talks too much for me he is very kind in that I buy no household products either including washing powder etc. However Mothernerd what on earth are your boys doing with it to get through 1 roll a day? And Siouxsie - how on earth are you planning to make 1 whole roll last 9 days? Are you planning on work place ablutions...? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Ha ha Stewby I like that you are plotting to take the wedding talk elsewhere - don't do that. I like to read what you girlies are up to and plan and scheme (and steal ideas) for the imaginary vegan-Christian-body-building- motorbike riding man I will marry...
KeynaKate I held strong. No brownies. Although the female boss who baked them made a quip along the lines of "ha ha ha you always give in" - that made me fume. I avoid them as they are not vegan. Once or twice I had one of her cookies and swiped back at her "Ummm I think it was only twice actually" - so I am extra militant now in my approach especially at work where everyone is watching.
Moomin I kinda like the idea of jury service if it was actually interesting... can we wiggle out of it in this country or is it mandatory once you are called..?
SiannieLaz I agree with the first ten minutes are the worst then you will feel amazing. I have had to knock my training on the head for a week to get that finance course done (still not done) then it's back on it...
So........shopping done yesterday. Pennies dropped off the radar in the form of £5 on Saturday for artisan bread and an ice lolly - yes really!!!
A Tesco run for tofu and bananas and a Sainsbury run for pitta and carrots... Meaning yesterday following my Hey Diddle Lidl and Tescimo run (£14 and £11 respectively ) I am now out of cash. £13 for the bus fare stashed aside already and I am done. (however the bus fare in hard cash is only £11.60 so I could be tight and not pay the extra for a week ticket)...
I made a lentil loaf again last night which will keep me going for at least 5-7 meals, red lentil humus for nibbles, with plans to make a cake with the multiple lemons I bought although I might not have to ration them.I have £3.50 Tesco vouchers, £5 Tesco money card and £4.72 in my current account. If I am really stuck for fruit and veg there is SOMETHING I can spend but I'd rather not. I am however fully loaded with fruit and veg, with two OT shifts this bank holiday weekend and cakery bakery time as well.
I will survive. Albeit my CC is back to £0.00 and I feel great about that. With nothing to add to it next month ALL my spare cash will be added to the travel fund. :T:T:T
I have acquired OT on the week of June 1st and applied for a double whammy the weekend after (Sat night 2300-0700 then Sunday 1500-2300 ) which is hard but I need to see my cousin during one weekend in June so remembering the seven P's I have planned ahead and bunched up the shifts - hopefully I actually get them now. I might be on route to the monetary target I have actually set myself..
Right enough wittering once again.. I have work I need to get done but am not really looking forward to it....

Kat once you're called you have to go unless you have a VERY good reason (with proof of excuse too!)
Thankfully my name wasn't called for the jury but I have to call back again later as they might want me tomorrow.0 -

Afternoon all,
Having a lovely day today so far. I am very lucky that most of the pupils I teach are curently off taking exams which meant today I only had one lesson to teach!!! I am supposed to be in school all day however but I needed to visit the dr and the only appointment today was at lunchtime and my lovely boss let me go
I have spent the rest of the afternoon sat in the garden in a temporary "office", doing admin and lesson planning on the laptopTomorrow I may well be in school 11 or 12 hours so enjoying having some time at home today.
Need to spend later as OH needs bread and I need some items for school tomorrow but will combine this with a trip to the gym to save on petrol.
Need to go walk the dogs shortly and then get ready for the gym.

When you ask a question, always be sure you want to know the answer - I don't think I want to know, so I haven't asked.
Another good day of pleasant purposeful pottering in the garden. Was trying to do a sitting down job (just 12 trips up and down to collect everything I needed in one place) as leg wasn't great, but did more walking afterwards. Still want to do more, but will see how it goes (ignoring inside jobs mostly as still expecting the weather to break).
Last 2 days have been really good, fine but a bit cooler - still picking the parts of the garden that are best to work in, avoiding full sun.
Sorry my reports aren't more dynamic but on the money front it's just getting by and scraping through and remembering to keep breathing when I squeak through. last 2 months were tough and I know June is bad so just squirreling away for now.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Good evening.
Nightshift last night so have slept most of today. Still managed to go and spend money though.
Woke up with a craving for fajitas but needed some cooked chicken so off to morries where we bought some other stuff too. Came to a total of £15.96.
:undecided
The wedding stuff is just in case some people are't really interested. I don't want us to drive people crazy. After all, it's not as if they are just around the corner.
Diet has gone extremely wrong today. I blame work and my mum (she wasn't very well today). Plan is for a starve day tomorrow.
Show-off time... I don't have to do jury duty as I work in the healthcare profession. There's a risk that we would have to look after the person or their family so as a result we are exempt.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Evening Tributes... I am done for the evening and about to run out the door to get home. I shan't be checking in again tonight so I wanted to say good night and sleep well ( haha)...
It's been a dull day at work but I have managed to get a little of my finance course completed ( the one I wanted done in April that was due on Monday that I had extended until Friday ) but I don't want to rush it despite having not read EVERYTHING that has been provided online. Whoops! I have all day after work tomorrow to sort it out so might not go home but to the library first. Too many small fluffy four-pawed distractions at home that won't leave me alone... oh and the TV...
Yes Mothernerd - sometimes better not to ask.. hahahaha!
Can I just saw my vegan lentil loaf was AMAZING today with slightly stil crisp broccoli and gravy. I like sitting amongst my colleageues with this especially on the days when they have cr*ppy sandwiches from the supermarket to eat....( tee hee )..
Right.. time to brave the underground crowds and try not to fall asleep....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Evening All,
SFD today, work then an interview for the access course I want to start in September. Looks like it's a no go as they've changed the course and the entry criteria. When I did my GCSE's (100 years ago), I was not exactly focused (!) and only managed a D in maths. From this year, you need a C or above to start on the access courseBefore, maths was included in the course so it wasn't an issue. The tutor I saw has suggested I email the uni's I would be applying to next year, which I've done, but tbh I'm not hopeful. So everything will have to be put back another year whilst I do the GCSE. Hey ho.
Has made me feel a bit fed up tho. If it wasn't for the fact I can't leave the house due to DD, I think I'd be buried headfirst in a large pepperoni pizza and a bag of doritos by now :P
Anyway, totals today:
SFD - 14/15
Groceries - £54.55/£80
Misc - £13.91/£40
Petrol - £15/£15
Exercise - 7/20
Daily check in - 21/31
