Hi All,
I thought that I had lost it a bit towards in the last week or so of this month but having just totalled up all of my receipts it appears I have done a lot better than I thought
My totals are as follows:
SFD - 19/15 :T
LTW - 18/18 :T
Groceries - £84.41/£150 :T :T and I still have a reasonably well stocked freezer
Fuel - £85.03/£150 :T
Social / Birthdays - £142.73/£150 :T
In addition to this I have not purchased anything from the works coffee shop or restaurant for the entire month even though I have money on my vending card. I will leave this for the inevitable day when I forget to take lunch to work.
Really pleased with my results for May. I even managed to transfer a small amount of money to savings as there was a small amount in the account at the end of the month. :j
Well done everyone and see you all in June

Evening all,
Final check in for the month. Happy that I made my SFD targetmy check in target and was under on at least my petrol! Other budgets were broken which has had an impact on how much debt and savings I can make this month
Looking forward to the June challenge as my commitment to being slimmer has been defeated by my love of food over the last few months. I'm now doing far more exercise but not seeing great results due to my over eating. This is my main target area this month.
See you on the other sideLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
New roof and car £8557/£19003 New kitchen £396/£5039 Credit card Paid Student loan Paid0 -
Final check-in of the month. Went over on a few of my budgets but not by much. Think I was actually a bit tight on myself with shopping budgets and when I look at Junes budgets I need to start factoring in General spends budget for things like the vets visits, car mot, clothes etc.
Other than that really happy with myself. I have £93 left in wages with no more bills to come out before payday next week, this will go for car mot so shouldn't need to dip in my savings.
I've also paid off my holiday in September in full to my dad so owe no money to him for that, But ooooooops we've just booked a family holiday for end 2015 so now I'm saving for that too. Just £1100 to pay off now
Other than that I'm joking you all on Junes challenge, and also want to say Thankyou to all May tributes! You are really supportive, inspiring and motivating. I couldn't have saved as much in May without you......Thankyou so very much
Here's the final on my budgets. I spent £3.24 today on shopping.

1. Food £54.79/£50 (£2 on a Christmas savings card)
2. SFD 15/15

4. Birthday £10.49/£10- for friend
5. Social £50.60/£50....mainly for said friends birthday night out which was planned months ago
6 LTW 15/22

Hiya... Sorry for the lack of posting. Had several very busy nightshifts and then this afternoon has been all about packing for the holiday.
Mothernerd... I agree with applemuncher. You should still do the June challenge. It wouldn't be the same without your detailed posts. You are a great story teller. I almost feel like I am sitting with you having a natter over a cup of tea (if I drank tea of course). I also agree that you are an inspiration. You have managed to keep a house and raise three children. I can't even look after two adults (myself and OH). I am always interested to read about how you are trying to improve your house and hope that you will reconsider joining the June challenge.
Hugs to you at this time (P.S - this is not a pity post, this is just how I honestly feel).
Spend-free days = 19/15... thank goodness for sleeping all day and working all night means I couldn't spend any moneys.
:j
Budget = Managed to keep a whole 50 pence!!!!! I am classing this as a win... and the 50p is going into our holiday pot.
:j
Weight loss = I have been following the 5/2 diet (won't bore you with the details) and I have been using an app to help monitor my progress. Weighed myself yesterday afternoon (couldn't do morning as I was on nightshift and it would have been like weighing myself at the end of a day).
My grand total is TEN POUNDS!!!!!!
:j:j
Looking forward to June's challenge. It seems like one which will help me in my weight loss/healthy living goal.
I will be missing in action for a the first couple of weeks but will be trying to stick to the rules the best I can.
This will be my last hugs to all you tributes (well, until we become tributes again of course).Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
Savings: £0/£64000 -
Mothernerd as others have said repeatedly your posts are very interesting and motivating. I will miss them if you you do not join the June thread.
Like you I will not be able to participate fully in the exercise element of the challenge as I suffer from MS and fatigue is one of my main symptoms  Having spoken to OH he has agreed to come out on regular walks with me on the condition that I listen to my body and stop if necessary.
With MS fatigue there is no correlation between the amount of exercise or activity you do and the level of fatigue. One day I can walk for miles with no problem on another I will need to sit and rest at every available bench or wall. Over the years I have learnt to do everything in small bursts and then take a break which helps manage the fatigue.
What I'm trying to say is that we can only do what we can and I will be classing a 20 minute walk as my exercise target so maybe you could count your prescribed exercises as your target. If we both go for these we can beat the June challenge :rotfl:
Hope to see you in June
