    Evening All,

No SFD for me today, had to buy catfood, but as I had some giftcards for MrT, it only cost me £2! Also had to put petrol in the car :( I was hoping to hold out until the 1st June, but there wasn't enough.

Other than that, not much happening. Too wet to go out, so DD and I have spent the day wrecking the house! Am just waiting for her to fall asleep so I can do a workout, I couldn't get up at 5am this morning, as dd was up half the night!

    Anyhoo, scores on the doors

Wow mothernerd your veg growing sounds amazing!

SFD number 14 today :) I have been dying to buy chocolate today but I didn't want to lose my SFD. I have ate a couple of yoghurts and found an ice lolly in the freezer to curb my sugar craving instead.

Also got an unexpected hour of tutoring, which means I might have enough to buy some much needed trainers. Mine are nearly worn through at the bottom and have holes between the sole and the sides on both sides of both shoes so they are not very practical in the wet weather, and I wear them everyday to walk the dogs.

Hope you have all had good days, starting to get excited about the appearance of the new challenge!

mothernerd, I'm glad there is someone looking out for you. Hope they give you a parcel when you go. You deserve one.

Fraid I had a spendy day in the ch shops with dd. We did get bargains galore including doodles, sandals and trainers for £1.50 each. Result. Am glad I got my NSD in before half term started!

Today I am grateful for time with dd, for dh booking Friday off, for a meeting at work next week being moved to Weds, for waterproof coats and for tInterweb.

    Good Morning Tributes...

I am in some training this morning that will run from 0900-1600....big groan. However it means that I can't write much now but will have June's challenge up tonight. Hope you are ready!..

Last night was lovely... my £5 money-card and £3.50 Tesco voucher went on flowers and a card for my friend last night. We went to see Malificent which was actually very good. Now I want my own wings and to scare little beasty children. lol!

I bought dinner as well on my CC and a drink at the cinema ( BIG MISTAKE ) but I forgot my water bottle and have a thing about buying something that is free from a tap so got one of those horrific blue slushy things. Pizza hut afterwards means I have probably maxed my weeks calorie intake in one night. I have a lot of broccoli today to make up for it. And my bus didn't show up last night so I walked the 40 minutes home. (BIG HINT ABOUT WHAT IS COMING IN JUNES CHALLENGE - mwah ha ha ha ha!)

So in preparation for June I have made a list of everything that I need or that has run out.. cat litter and food, motorbike brakes, cat injections and flea/worming accoutrements, foundation, petrol to see my cousin instead of an expensive train ticket and such like - total £245. Although petrol and bike brakes are a guestimate.

This means only £1300 goes in the travel fund which is annoying but I don't want to use my CC anymore and I have £120 for food meaning £30 a week..

I will list everything on Junes challenge though so you know where I am at...

Anyway.. I am off to training now...

    Hello everyone,

Another NSD yesterday, and should be today barring emergencies, so should meet target of 15! :jNeed to have a think about what I've learnt from this month and what I want to achieve in June. Kat - I think I need to follow your example and make a list of what I have in!

Note from the builder today - they need to plaster the lounge, so I need to move the furniture out. Unfortunately I have no where to put it, and it's full of the kitchen stuff (table/fridgefreezer) as kitchen floor is being done, and spare bedroom stuff as that isn't finished yet - they need to relay the floor where it was taken up to do electrics. I don't know what to do, v stressed about it all. I know I'm so lucky to be having the work done and feel very ungrateful but can't wait until it's over.

Stewby - you make lots of sense, it's the difference between not saving, buying tyhe cheapest which is not what you really want and feeling guilty even for spending that, and saving and being able to have the choice of what you want - not throwing money away, but enjoying what you want to. I think you are so right - and by 2018 you should have a fab pot of savings!

    Morning folks :D

I'm declaring today as we're off to a wedding down south and I might not get a chance to come on here to update until Sunday which is the start of the new month.

    Good things:
    • Well within food budget
    • Got my exercise done this month
    • Managed to take my LTW every day I was in the office
    • Saved double my intended amount in my ISA
    • Got a permanent job :D

I'm probably going to end up over my spends/petrol budget by the end of the weekend, but I had budgeted for a four week month and there's five Fridays so I won't be too upset!

    Have a lovely weekend ♥

Hi everyone, cannot believe we are at the end of the month literally already  Well, challenge wise I have not done too well :o I spent the best part of it stressed out. However, I have still made my repayments, so technically I'm ok. I have no birthdays now until August then December, so the spends will be more under control. I cannot wait until next month and the aim is to be 100% committed :)

As petty as it sounds, there is a lot to be said for taking a total break. I have had the week off and the stress has literally been lifted off of me :T Come Monday, I'm hoping to be able to be a lot more relaxed, but that horrible feeling of angst and headaches is gone and I feel so happy :D

Totals wise, I know I have passed on LTW as I never really buy anything anyway. Sorry no idea of the rest :o I go below 8k today so very happy. My attitude has really changed and I'm so happy with that. But onwards and upwards. My personal goals will be to remember that work is work. I will do my best and I can do know more and to keep hacking away at the debt tree. Most importantly value every single second I'm around all those that matter to me and make a difference in my life -It's so easy to forget :o

    Take care everyone :)

That's a lovely thing to realise traveller, thank you for sharing with us. And congratulations on going below 8k :)

Today is a spend day as I met a friend for lunch and had to top up on bread and salad.

Tomorrow should be a SFD so will make my target :)

    Evening All,

SFD for me today, so at least I have met/exceeded one target this month!! Got up at 5am again today and did a workout, am feeling quite smug!! Although, tbh I was assisted out of bed at 5.05am by one of the cats who was ejecting a hairball next to me!

Lots of washing done (see above), seeing friends and general mucking about with DD done today. It's so nice having two days off in a row for a change.

Anyhoo, I have a ton of Avon brochures to prep for tomorrow and I want an early night, although I am so desperate to see June's challenge, the early night may not happen! Totals so far:
    SFD - 18/15
    Groceries - £78.84/£80
    Misc - £28.68/£40
    Petrol - £30/£15
    Exercise - 11/20
    Daily check in - 28/31

Have a good one all xxxx
