    Hello tributes

I am back from my hols (4 days to the next one :o) so had a quick peek at he thread and will hope to catch up this week.

    Congratulations Fmess!:j

Had a great holiday and spent much less than we would normally do, we really did self cater and all evening meals and lunches (except one lunch) were made in the caravan/picnics. We had such a good time we are going again in july:o

My job ends next week but due to hols tomorrow is my last day and I am feeling a bit sad :(

I am not sure where I am with the challenge but will do some number crunching and be back later/tomorrow with the figures.

The July holiday is paid for on a naughty CC but will be paid off before we go and I have set myself a challenge of raising half the money £309 from selling stuff and saving money on the budget etc. So far I have raised £56.02 from TCB, the change pig and a sweep of my accounts. The card could be cleared from wages, savings or even my redundancy money but I want to raise half myself to get me into the frugal ways I will need as this month will be my last salary payment.

SFD missed because I can't resist Kinder eggs. Have updated this morning's post and will be sitting in the corner [STRIKE]covered in chocolate [/STRIKE] hanging my head in shame.

Another SFD. Nothing much else to report - hoping to get a little more done outside when it cools down a bit more. Have been looking around for little jobs I can do inside but really need to get all the big tubs and potato sacks filled and outside first then I can move smaller pots up a size and then move the seedlings into individual pots (everything' s stuck until larger pots are available - cut down a lot last year and got rid of all the cracked/broken ones + the hundreds of yoghurt pots).

Hi everyone! FMESS your plan sounds great :D Going abroad also means there will be no hangers on turning too!

I;m starting to feel a bit better in myself and will shred today. I didn't yesterday, but will stick to alternate days.

I haven't spent a bean today so happy about that. Felt slightly guilty that I haven't looked in on my neighbour for a while, but I honestly don't have anything left to give by the time I get home-I'm shattered. This weekend I needed to be by myself. I will try on the weekend.

Well I hope everyone has a good evening. Take care everyone :)

Another NSD in the bag :j. That's 3 in a row.

Threw out a challenge to my work colleagues - just the girls - to join me in losing weight by sports day, 45 days away. There are 5of us so far, and the ones who loses the highest % of their bodyweight will be the winner. Am chuffed that other people want to join me! :)

Tomorrow is a spendy day as it's food shop day, my fave day of the week!

Ooooh I love all this organic yummy foodie talk. Siouxsie I am finishing soon but had nectarines, home made guacamole, toasted wraps to make into crackers, carrot sticks, lentil loaf and gravy. LOVELY! And not too stuffed.

Does Planet Organic have a store or is it all online? I am intrigued by the lecture though. Very interesting.

Pineapple in Tescos now at £1 each. They are the large ones. My green smoothies are now spinach, pineapple, ginger, banana, parsley, wheat-grass powder and celery. YUMMY!...

Home made guacamole is the best kind - I find a lot of the supermarket ones contain cream and are quite processed...and the Wholefoods one, while unprocessed and dairy free, is £2.99! I love mushed avocado on toast - yum!!

Planet Organic have a handful of stores in London Kat. I guess they're a bit like Wholefoods but I'll report back with full details after tomorrow night's talk! Managed a SFD today which means I can do my food shopping while I'm there...I'm so excited!!!

I slept through most of the day and missed the sunshine - boo!!! It's going to be raining for the rest of the week when I'll either have time off or be out and about...time to drag out the wellies?

So, other than not spending any money, eating the last remains of decent food in the kitchen, a hot sweaty yoga class followed by a long steamy shower, I don't think I have much else to report.

I'll be back tomorrow to catch up on all your news and to report on my spends...and food finds in a new store :D

    Congratulations Fmess! Hurrah!
Weddings are only as expensive as you want them to be and it sounds like you know what you want and £5k is modest, mine and DHs entire wedding and honeymoon cost under £5k and we had everything we wanted.
Stewby, that's an awesome idea with the tea and cake at the wedding! We went to one where they had canap!s and bubbly at the church then we all walked up to the village hall where they had a marquee in the field next to it, so so simple but so thoughtful. Ooh I do love a wedding!

However I digress, spend day today as DS managed to drink the best part of 4 pints of milk on his own last night (he's only 2!) so I had to get some more and I wanted to top up on meat for the rest of the week. We are away for most of next week and Friday week our shopping will come so we will be sorted. £20 left for shopping this week which is pretty good for us!

Also following the weekend I budgeted £35 and came back with £1.50 change! Hehe! DH paid for the rest of it.

For next weeks trip I'm budgeting £100, apart from that everything is paid for, I'm checking out best (cheapest) places to eat, looking forward to it!

For the rest of this week though it's frugalness, will be making do with what we have in.

Ooh Siouxsie and NSK, I love homemade guacamole, proper stuff should just be avocado, garlic, chilli and lemon juice anyway, what is with this cream business?
I've been trying really hard to eat clean and have recently discovered the joys of brown rice syrup and almond butter to make granola with, oh my it's addictive! Also I've been making popcorn and just adding sea salt, sooo yummy!
Clean eating, Pilates, Callanetics and weights have enabled me to lose a good few inches in a few weeks, all those new clothes I bought well they are a bit big now!
