SiannieLaz - poor you, my Dad has the same problem with his hernia.

MagicCat - the car failed the MOT, it is going back next week for a new part and will cost £116, luckily I had saved up some money to pay for the test and any repairs and the balance will go towards the insurance which is due in July.

Yesterday was a spendy day, I bought some running tights and two vest tops for exercising in, I hardly had any clothes to wear and I am exercising 6 days a week. I used money from my grocery budget to pay for them as we will have plenty left from that.

I'm not sure of our plans for the day but hopefully minimal spends or no spends.

Morning all! Been MIA yet again, very stressed as of let but fighting through it:T

    CONGRATULATIONS FMESS :j :T :j :T

Hugs and good wishes going out to everyone that needs them, sorry but I just never seem able to catch up on this thread as of late :o

I have a mega spendy week coming up as it's my sons 15th on the 27th and he's having a party. So I have been spending and buying when I see things on the cheap. So I've had about 3 spendy days.

I've also started and will stick to the 30 day shred. My weight is another thing upsetting me. I find I just don't know how to dress anymore, as I don't feel comfortable with myself and that's before everything else, lol. My ex has taken the younger two for the weekend, so it's giving me the chance to have some me time. In reality, I've doen nothing but put my feet up :o lazy I know, lol. Also realised my figures are wrong somewhere and my DFD is next August instead of next March. But, I will be DF, that's the main thing :)

Well take care everyone and keep going :)

    congrats fmess :j:beer::T

well i am slipping back in from mia :o

not sure whats been wrong with me this month as been frittering away loads on sweets and general wastage

i have got three weeks until i go on holiday (:j) and its pay day tomorrow so starting afresh! so going to try and be extra good and not waste anything :A i normally allow myself £160 per month for spends for meals, nights out, clothes, make up, toiletries etc.... so think i will try and cut this to £50 for the month. i have got a curry meal out for colleague leaving and going bowling (but on cheap night) so hopefully this is doable.

I am going to use some of the money saved on a big tin of gloss paint to refresh my kitchen and bathroom :) going to do that for the next two weekends to keep me busy :rotfl: bathroom just needs ceiling redone as paint is totally fine. at the moment the window frames are stained and the woodwork is bare (just a hint of stain). i want it all white! the kitchen is the same but could do with a lick of paint on the walls but think i have nearly a full tin as was just short when i did it the first time. need to check my massive pot of matt white for ceilings and undercoats but if thats ok then no need to buy more :)

todays plans are to give the outside woodwork the last coat of gloss (:T:j), batch cook soup and two curries and sunbathe in the garden as set the hammock up yest! :p Also going to list the floorboards on ebay for £110 :)

    Morning all :D

Yesterday wasn't a SFD - I spent a whopping £5.17. That was lunch with a friend, a drink and a packet of Curly Wurlys. They're absolutely not needed so I didn't want to take that £1 from my food budget :rotfl:

Today won't be a SFD either as myself and Mr Mooo are off for a drive. I don't count the petrol spend as that's budgeted for, but if we end up getting lunch somewhere that'll be from my own money.

I didn't end up buying meat for the freezer after all as Mr Mooo decided he wanted to go out last night and get ice lollies for the freezer. He bought five boxes (!) so there's now no room for anything else :rotfl::rotfl:

    Good Afternoon Tributes....

What a gloriously splendid day to be at work... expecially after spending a lovely albeit chilly day at Kew Gardens yesterday... #notbitter...

I am noW on OT shift number 2 of 4. I have been properly shafted with my duties today and am not in a great mood. Woe betide anyone that crosses my path today. Did I mention I was here until 2300...??

Anyway... on happier notes.. I have been on virtually vegetables and fruit only for a few days with left-over lentil loaf and home made Thai Green curry keeping me going. I feel AMAZING. However I went to see Godzilla last night ( don't bother by the way ) and had some of my friends malteasers and felt awful so am steering clear of naughty foods although might need a cheat meal now and then

So I got up early today and made some of Jack Monroe's kidney bean burgers for tomorrow, home made guacamole and will make a smoothi tonight...

Its amazing home much fruit and veg I can eat. kale crisps were on the menu as well - Ooooh errrr!

I LOVE FOOD! Also took my lunch and bits to Kew gardens yesterday. I love plants - it's making me rethink my career.

Anyway before I waffle on more... I will end this here but will be back later no doubt...:T:T:T

So.. I want to ask you. Why not concentrate all your efforts to getting debt free BEFORE you get married. Marriage is exciting, a new journey with your OH but you are taking the old life with you?..

Would if not be better to concentrate all efforts to clear this debt, then save hard (although I understand some things need to be paid for in advance and sometimes way ahead of time )..

Can I be nosey and ask what you want as a wedding budget?
