Morning
We had a lovely day out yesterday pootling around the countryside and ended up at the coast eating chips at a lovely harbour. The only (unbudgeted) costs were lunch which came to under a tenner, so a nice cheap day out.
Nothing too exciting planned here. [STRIKE]I'm logging a SFD as I don't have any spends planned.[/STRIKE]
I have jury service tomorrow (BAH!) but am hoping I won't have to serve as I have a job interview on Thursday. The man at the court said to bring the letter proving that along with any other documentation. I could do without serving to be honest as I have to claim back the money from any days I lose at work and that will really upset my budget for the month.0 -
Good Morning all....
Can you believe I came to work this morning with NO TIGHTS and only in a little jacket. My my my ... aren't I brave. Albeit I don't have a brolly with me today so that might be problematic later...
Shopping day approacheth and I can't find my money off voucher. Gutted! I am determined to win the game against the big stores and save LOTs of money. Might go for a womble later.
Nowt much to report here. Still haven't done that finance course thing of mine that I wanted done in April. It's due to today. Guess I know what I will be doing tonight. Ugh!
I am amazed how I am not as tired as I would have thought having got to bed at 0100 and back up at 0500. I am now going to go and calculate my money that I have earned... Mwah ha ha ha ha haaaa!
Stewby - please stop encouraging the delay of DFD... naughty step please.. 3 minutes...:rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Scarily at the moment I have no idea of cost but wouldn't be prepared to spend more than £5000..
This is a very modest budget so that's pretty cool. I will have to second the wedding bikini though :T... I can see where you are coming from with regards to massive discounts by booking ahead and this makes perfect sense. I also know you are super sensible and was playing devils advocate a little with my question...
My friends got married in Zante for the same reason as you... I think it will be amazing and you have clearly thought everything through so keep us up to date on goings-on... It's kinda exciting for us as well....:p:p

Well... since you asked. There is this stupid rule in my office where one must wear under garments AND actual clothing. However looking around at the trolls that passeth my desk it's a good thing too..(hardy har har har...)
I am dressed in what one would call the "el cheapo" get up...
Little jacket (£18), black stretchy pencil skirt cause I am getting fat from Asda ( £10 ), flat black ballet pumps from Asda (£14 ), little vest top from Primark (£4) and a lovely silk effect top from a charity shop (£5) but really from Wallis.
Total effect = WOW!
Total Price = £51

Morning all, hope everyone is getting some time to enjoy the sunshine.
Kat - I feel a bit freaked when I go out without a coat in the summer and usually end up packing one for everybody and just carrying them around.
I have a confession to make, I joined the gym this morning, it will be for one year and one year only just as an extra boost to my weight loss journey and for when it is raining, when I get to target I won't exercise 6 days a week.
Today will be a SFD as despite joining the gym I will not be spending anything, there was nothing to pay there today.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

groceries £150/£200
kitties £20.70/£50 + £23 on flea treatments + £6 for magnetic keys (getting their own budget this month!)

sfds 7/15
savings £29/£500
Can't believe I spent £70 in Mr A's on Friday though I did stock up on toiletries and household goods so it wasn't all on food.
Did a table top sale on Saturday but I think the sunny weather kept people away, wasn't very successful. Did a car boot yesterday which was much busier. The CDs/DVDs we had left over went on Music Mag Pie. Overall this weekend we made £1400 -
