Morning all
Today isn't going to be a SFD as I'm going to meet a friend for brunch in a little while. We haven't done it for ages and I'm looking forward to a good catch-up.
I did most of my weekly shopping yesterday, spending a whopping £14.31That included topping up toothpaste, cleaning stuff (including bin liners) and enough fruit to do us until midweek.
This morning I'm going to make a large pan of bolognese to do us this weekend and then inventory the freezer so I can do a proper meal plan. When I meet my friend I can then pick up any meat we need to restock what's low. I'll probably just buy more mince to be honest as we have three whole chickens in the freezer and not a lot of space0 -
*sneaks round the door sheepishly*
May I return please?
Have been really busy on a course this week requiring home work and revising and also interviewing (via skype, very odd experience!), so haven't had much capacity for anything else!
I have collected another 2 SFDs since monday though (12/15)
Can't remember where I am on checking in! 11/31?? I'll look back and check!
Off for a jolly this evening, bit concerned about the b&b booking as I thought it was pay on booking but it hasn't gone from my account. Troubling as we do need somewhere to sleep tonight! Going to Windsor Castle tomorrow as OH gets free entry for himself + guests, and I've never been so I'm quite excited!
Off to wash the car now... such fun!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

sorry for being away!
I have spent no money from my account since last Saturday!!!!!!!!! whoop!!!
OH had 20 quid pocket money which he has only spent on tobacco, a card for our friends who gave birth, and a few choccy bars for meand I have to say *smugface* I am feeling pretty good about it!
Can't believe we have gone through the whole week eating from the cupboards!!!!
And what is amazing is we still have so much untouched food!!!
We still have a whole chicken and lots of fish fillets in freezer, and 2 packs of bacon! Think we might actually not need to do a shop this week - although we have no milk, eggs or cheese!
We have a 5.50 voucher for te8co from our points - not as good as yours NSK!!!(PS - love writing letters to companies!!) - so might try and just use that - problem is - no te8co stores near us, so we can only do a delivery
hmmmm, will ponder that!
Cleaning day today them exercise later - first weigh in tomorrow! eek!!!!!!
Hope everyone has a lovely sunny day!
UPDATE - i did an online shop! Got 12 quid off using coupons and our money off voucher of 5.50! Yay!!!! It comes to 60 quid (haha!) but that includes a 16 quid bag of tabac for OH and cat litter and coffee on offer! We live off coffee and always get the D.Egberts!!! I am very happy about it!

Happy Saturday Tributes!
Beautiful sunny day here...in-laws coming round later to watch the football, but will try to employ my jabberjay strategy again. No painting done yet as it seems a shame to waste the weather, so have been sorting the garden.
Fness - I'm sure we have a list in the office, will check for you on Monday about the crackers. Genius sliced is available, your GP will probably need the PIP code to add it to your prescription, white is 370-0432 and brown is 370-0440 .
Applemuncher - sounds like you got some bargains - I love finding books like that
Dolly84 - hope MOT was OK
I have done the grocery shop today, £55.09 which is more that I wanted really - needed to get food for inlaws coming, including some lovely strawberries for pudding - and MIL has just texted to say she is bringing something, so needn't have bothered. Grrrr.
Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Hello lotti and c-r! Nice to see you again!
Fmess the Genius sandwich loaf - the one I think is THE best of the lot is 6 x535g loaves PIP 379-8568. There's a list on the coeliacuk website that you can print out. I also recommend the gnocchi PIP 351-1961 for 6x500g packs.
Another NSD and exercise session in the bag. I'm doing rather well so far! But half term will put paid to my goodness, I expect .
Today I am grateful for a good book, for my exercise mat, for getting some work done, for dh starting to sort through books and cds (long may it continue!), and for earphones.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Another NSD (14/15). A little gardening, some exercise, a bit of a nod off and 2 loads of washing out. Exceeded my own expectations but I set the bar very low (thought it was preferable to do better than expected than think about everything that needed doing and get nowhere).
Chopped loads of raw veg and made a meal of hm wedges from leftover Easter potatoes and stuff from the freezer - and a £5 tessimo voucher arrived in the post (already planning an on-line shop/ delivery as have £15 off a £60 order but aim to make that the base for next month's food - has to be used by 1st June but may get it earlier to get a cheapo delivery slot). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Evening All,
SFD for me today, busy day at work.
No exercise either todayI had planned an early night, going to bed straight after I got back from work (9.15pm) but had terrible reflux and was up until after midnight with it, so didn't get up at 5am to workout. I've run out of gaviscon so resorted to taking bicarbonate of soda - bleuuurrgghh. I was going to go to the doctor about it, but as I know its my hiatus hernia come back there seems little point. I can control it by diet, but after having no symptoms for so long, its proving difficult to get myself back in the right mindset again. And it is especially sensitive at the moment, last night was caused by eating a quarter portion of a ham and cucumber sandwich at work - cucumber is a killer. Anyhoo, my meal plan for the week is just plain stuff for me, so hopefully it will calm down in the next few days.
Enough moaning! scores so far:
