Hello tributes!
applemuncher - fab news on morgage, it is really inspiring to see the difference your extra monthly payments make - all the more reason for me to get rid of the debt and get started on reducing the mortgage!:money:
abundant - exciting times thinking beyond your DFD! Definitly be kind to yourself about the healthy eating - it sounds like you're doing really well the majority of the time. I've found the more I beat myself up about eating, the worse I feel and the more I eat...slowly trying to do better.
Well done on the NSDs everyone. Should be another one for me today, otherwise not much going on.

Another SFD - in a strange mood so thought the shops were better avoided. Struggling with everything today - DS3 said he thought I needed new legs, asked if he knew where to get some. He also checked whether I had taken my hayfever tablet - I had (+ painkillers) but still struggling.
Decided to find something exciting from the freezer (so don't splurge on chocolate, which would probably improve things temporarily) and am watching QI out-takes on meTube. Just one of those whatever gets me through it days - hoping I can do some leg exercises later - complete no go this morning.
Hope everyone else has a great day.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
I stake my claim to another NSD :T.
I went to get dd's prescription food after work and when I came to pack it away, I discovered that they had doubled one of the bread orders. I'm not complaining! Especially as last time, they didn't call us about the bread being in and kept it for a week so it was on its actual 'best before' date when I got the 6 loaves. Grrrr. And gluten free bread goes stale very quickly. I reckon that just with the bread alone, one prescription's worth would cost us about £50! My goodness, that's a lot of money saved.
Thank you for all the kind comments about my mortgage payments! It's amazing how good a simple payment of £40 has made me feel. It spurs me on to keep on paying to it! I think I'm secretly hoping to come across a rolled up wad of tenners somewhere...!

Evening All,
NSK - I was lucky enough to be given the insanity DVD's by a friend, she had ordered it and never even opened it! It is a total killer tho
SFD for me again today, no exercise either todayDD was up half the night, and so was I so 5am start was never going to happen! She's still awake now, I can hear her chattering to herself - how come she isn't exhausted all day!!!
Been feeling a bit low today, probably cos I'm so tired. Took DD for her usual walk up the high street (she likes looking in the windows and saying "oooooo" and all the shopkeepers know her now!) and started to feel really fed up because I can't afford to splurge in the grocery/flower shopThey had some beautiful jasmine plants, as well as lots of herbs. I know it's my fault I'm in this financial situation but I still find it hard to stay positive all the time. It's not the big things I miss, it's all the little ones
Got the last recorded delivery letter I sent to my ex-LL returned today, nearly a month after it was delivered. It's obviously been opened, but unfortunately I can't afford the fees to take him to court right now. If I stick to the budgets I've set myself, I'll have enough by the end of July so it will have to wait until then. Tempting as it is, I'm not sticking it on the credit card. I've got 6 years to start court proceedings so another couple of months won't hurt.
Anyhoo, totals so far:

Hi Tributes,
Missed yesterday's checking-left work late after late meeting and fell asleep once home. Bonus though , won a £10 gift card off the boss for tescowill save this for Christmas. Just having a quick catchup on the board too....everyone's doing so well.
Isn't Jon Snow an newsreader?
Yes this is what I thought, until she introduced me to the hottie from game of thrones.....droooooool:rotfl::p
Day off today, was up and out at 9am. Made slow cooker BBQ pulled pork with some pieces of reduced pork steaks......they've been in the freezer for nearly 2 years (ooops) but once cooked in a cheap can of coke and a few pieces of garlic and reheated In BBQ sauce they were well yum and fell apart easily. In fact I've just eaten it in a salad roll and it was lush! Will do for lunch for next few days too.
Also wee bit of a spendy day today, went to local farm shop early on and bought some cheap pork shoulder and some ribs. These will do for later on next week. Also got bread and a couple of cheap bottles of lager. Total shopping spend £12.01
Got fuel too, used the 20p off fuel save for tesco when filled the car up £52.59 worth of fuel with £8.23 off because of discount so total fuel purchased £44.36 so slightly over budget
Spent the afternoon in the sun helping my mum out on her allotment, transplanted cabbages and planted some extra French beans, peas, sweet corn, mixed salad leaves, rainbow beetroot, mini sweet pumpkins, yellow courgette, red sweet peppers, little gem lettuce, purple basil, coriander, parsley, spring onions and a range of flowers. Knackered now with a slightly burnt face but it will be well worth it when I can eat it all later on in the summer.
Forgot the cat also needed her annual injections as she is off to the chattery in June when I'm on a mini cottage break with the family. Haven't budgeted for this so hope I come underspent elsewhere....or last resort will sell a few things on the bay of e :money:
Hope everyone has had a great couple of days. I'm working next few so need a few no spend days. Was a no spend day yesterday so here's a budget update:
1. Food £38.73/£50
2. SFD 8/15
3. Petrol £44.36/£40
4. Birthday £6.99/£10- for friend
5. Social £12/£50....mainly for said friends birthday night out which was planned months ago
6 LTW 8/23
7. Part pay holiday £270.08/£300
8. Lose weight 1/4lb
Nights folks......gonna have a quick read of the rest of the thread and catch up xI have enough money to last me the rest of my life unless I buy something -:j:rotfl::j

Hi All,
Today should have been a SFD but ended up booking the hotel for a family wedding in June so had to pay a deposit of £30. I will get £20 of this back from OH's son and daughter so only £10 actually being counted. At least the rooms are cheap. It's in an old coaching inn and the rooms are all at £40 for the night. Breakfast is an extra £6 each so quite a result. I did look at booking through the 2 sites mentioned in the weekly email with a 10% discount code but it actually still worked out dearer than booking direct, so saved a few £'s there :money:
LTW today. After my lunch I wanted something 'nice' so thought I would go to the deli bar and see what they had to offer. Thought it wouldn't count as a spend as the money was on my catering card from April :rotfl: I got half way there and decided I didn't need anything (as I have a biscuit tin on my desk) and really didn't want anything so went back to my desk with a cup of water from the FREE water machine. So proud of myself and have decided I am going to resist going down there for anything for the entire month of May :T :T
I will be reducing my LTW target from 19 to 18 as I have just booked the Friday before the bank holiday off work.
Nothing else to report so see you all tomorrow.

Today I am grateful for extra bread, for hugs from dd, for sunshine, for cheap(ish) fuel, and for ribbon that curls up when you run a blade along it.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening all,
Congratulations on the gift card kenyakate
SFD number 8 for meI'm on a run of 3 now which is very good for me. Getting a bit bored of water, as I've run out of everything else, but it'll have to wait until I need to spend on something more important.
Just done my last tutoring session, so my extra income will now cease and I need to be extra good with my money and keep spending down.

Oh just remembered! apple muncher before I got my prescription card I ordered gf food on prescription once, it cost over £55 for one months bread, pasta and flour! Each loaf was charged as one prescription item! I got my card very swiftly after that.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
