Well done NSK with your Tesco letter, and well done to Tesco on their response. I watched The Island show last week but was a bit worried about the food - not for the men but for the food itself.
Well done applemuncher on your mortgage payment, keep chipping away at it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Exactly! ......................Stupid 10 character limit......“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Looks like I'm going to have to "retire due to injury" this month... let's leave it as "women's problems" and leave it at that.;)

kat - thank you! It's just 2k to get it into the 60s - I was just thinking of something like 69,999. Not all the way down to 60,000.
But, to answer your question: this month, we'll have our 'usual' payment of 1,100. I've been putting 400 into savings (have been earning 800 extra pcm so have put half into mortgage and half into savings - not a penny has been touched otherwise) but may put this into the mortgage too. Than makes 1,500. I honestly can't see me having another 500 left over this month...
The more long term plan is 4 more payments of 1100, then it drops to 700. I've managed to get dh to agree to finding 100 pcm more. But I'd like 300, so will be trying to find that...
But for now, I am wearing my smug face for the mortgage plus for doing a right toughie workout!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

SFD and LTW today :T
Had a good play around with my budget for June today. Have decided to allocate a personal spends amount each month so that I can cover all of the misc spends. The plan will be to put anything left over from that pot in a savings account or jar :money:
Still want to play around with the budget a bit more but really happy to be finally balancing the books. Budget is a little under income :j
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the glimpses of fine weather.

Did some spending on Saturday but otherwise been getting OH to buy his stuff using money given to him from his parents so it doesn't come out of our budget!
Still has only come to 12 quid spends since Saturday!

Evening All,
SFD for me today!
Congratulations apple muncher, mortgage free before you know it!
Had a medicine management course this morning, not really applicable for me but it was only two hours, and I was allocated the whole day as a study day and not working tmrw, so almost a paid day off! Spent the rest of the day mucking about with DD.
Got up again at 5am this morning and did another insane workout, they are really hard going. I don't think I'm going to get such good results as I can barely complete the warm up without a sit downWill keep plugging away at it. Was planning to be in bed by now, but DD has only just settled so my planned evening has gone up in smoke.
Anyhoo, totals so far

Today I am grateful for legs that can walk and jump and leap like a loony, for dd and her friend playing so well, for a swept downstairs, for MINT vienetta and for hot water.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
