Evening.
Not much to tell you again... spend-free day today so that is 7 out of 15.
:j
Still being good with the diet. Got a really rough shift happening tomorrow so will want to be all sorted for it.
Had to have two starve days whilst at work as I have four 12hr shifts then we head down south for a wedding so needed to get them out of the way.
I really wanted a sweetie today but managed to resist. (Hid them in the sugar jar for tomorrow).Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

Evening everyone
How are you all? Who got wet today? I had the longest sleep ever last night and didn't wake up til after 10!! Managed to get a little work done and took a yoga class before coming home, showering and getting back into bed - bliss!!
I had a mini spend on Sunday as I took my parents into London. They did a spot of shopping and we all went out for dinner. I paid the parking (£7.50) and my dad paid for dinner. It was so lovely cos I don't get much time together when it's just the 3 of us, plus the food was great too. Oh, and I had a 15% off coupon so I was virtually cost free!
My parents have now left for a two week holiday, but I'll see them again when they return as they'll stay an extra few days with me before returning home to NI
In terms of the challenge, my SFD total now sits at 9. Not bad since it's only the 13th and I had visitors for a few days. I'll manage that target quite easily I think.
My food and misc budgets are doing alright too - it's half way through the month, nearly, and I still have more than half left so I hope the end of the month is as good as the start!
So, I'll have a quick a spot of internet pottering, then hopefully I'll have another decent sleep! Back to work for me tomorrow so much beauty sleep followed by a hearty breakfast will see me through my long shift.
Night night everyone0 -

Evening Tributes,
*Finally* caught up on all the posts - feels like I've had a whistle stop tour of everyones life for the last few days! Glad you're all behavingmore of less!
I've been so tired with work... not eating well... Actually I say that - my diet is mostly brown rice, wholegrain bread, tuna, veg or salad... but i binged on 2 big bags of crisps and some double deckers and anyone would think i'd murdered someone - I'm too hard on myself!!!
So - another SFD claimed... They're creeping up slowly. Day off tomorrow - and if nothing else - I will get to the gym... That usually kick starts me out of my sluggishness. It's that mid-month slump...
My brother and I had a chat the other night and he said 'what are you going to do when you're debt free?' and it's like there is this vast nothingness - a big blank slate - beyond October this year. Mortgage? Move? Holiday? Emergency Fund? Fun? Frugality? I can't imagine giving myself a whole month's wage to spend on what I want - I'd have to flog myself as punishment haha!!! I think over the next few months I need to start thinking beyond my DFD... to what kind of a life I want and where I want to live it... Time to colour in that blank slate.
Off ot bed for some much needed sleep I think!!!
What is The Island? I'm intrigued now...
Night all x

Hi all, scraping in just before midnight. NSD today although I did demolish a lot more of the stores than I planned! Still, re-arranged a visit tomorrow to avoid a 2hr round trip to see a mate - she is coming here and staying overnight instead. Going to see if I can rustle up a nice meal from the store cupboard instead of heading out for treats!0

Missed another SFD yesterday due to rain - I was meant to meet a friend and wander round town but it was chucking it down so we went for a drink instead
Back on the wagon today though and with the knowledge that I'm already up to nine SFDs so am doing really well (for me!) I'm hoping to end the week with at least ten pounds left in my weekly food budget which will be good as we're running out of a few essentials.0 -
It sounds like the rain has scuppered a few peoples plans. It was a lovely day here yesterday until precisely 3pm then the heavens opened.
Yesterday was a spend day, I ordered a running vest and a flourescent (sp) cycling jacket, both were very much needed and I used money from selling unwanted items on ebay to pay so not all bad. Me and DH were sharing one cycling jacket but I was wearing it the most so he can have it back now and I needed a running vest because most ladies tops are lycra and clingy and they ride up when you run.
Today will be a SFD I hope, I am having the boiler serviced any minute now then working and running and dog walking.
Enjoy the sunshine.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning tributes....
So I can see we are wracking up the SFD's - very proud of you all!
I spent though - yesterday in Tesco's my total came to £29.40 - which is annoyingly £3.40 over my allotted budget of £26. Yes I am annoyed but I have everything I wanted and then some. (£1.65 of that was on cat treats)...
I have 93p off my next shop though. :rotfl: And a MASSIVE amount of fruit and vegetables in the house so I am sitting pretty for a while.
Abundant - this is GOOD! You are thinking ahead. I am intrigued as to what you might desire in that heart of yours. Yes it is very strange when you have a clear payslip and it's all yours... I think you need to possibly think about having a wee holiday? Are you still dating? Could you go together.....? Thinking about saving for a house is another major money-saving thing that will take discipline - take time inbetween (no matter what you decide on) to relax and treat yourself. (Within budget though, with cash not credit.....:o)
SiannieLaz - I would LOVE to try the Insanity Dvd but it's too expensive for me even to contemplate right now.:(:(
Oh looky I have just been handed some urgent work - looks like I can't stay out and play with you all... :rotfl: Need to get back to my kettlebell work-outs. Just looking at my physique in the mirror in the morning is enough to make me gag....
Laters.....“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
groceries £100/£200

Plan to spend £2 today on bread, an onion and a carrot so I can make some cous cous for lunch tomorrow & Friday.0
