Amazon gift voucher with EE broadband

  • I signed up in September, via the mse link to an offer which promised an Amazon £50 voucher. Waited 3 months but received nothing. I chased them up with my order number but they told me it hadn't been tracked properly and that it was in the conditions that the voucher would be issued within 3 months (implying I had missed the boat). They asked for a copy of my latest bill. It seems a bit dishonest if they just try to avoid paying out and making people chase them up.

I took up the offer a few months ago on here, £120 vouchers back.

So is it a con, they try to delay and delay telling you that you have to wait, then they tell you sorry you were too late?

I haven't received mine yet either.

Who can we complain to, I ring EE they say its nothing to do with them, they say it is Moneysavingexperts fault.

Can somebody from MSE post an update for all those of us still waiting for our promised Amazon vouchers?

I am one of the many people who have been tricked with this deal.

It was a fantastic deal. And like many things if it sounds to go to be true it probably is. But this was a deal backed by MSE website. A trusted and much liked organisation.

If MSE has any good intentions left. They need to make some kind of statement on why they were involved and what they are going to do to help sort the mess out.

As I see it the business model works on the following way:

MSE and affiliate window offer broadband with voucher after 3 months.

After 3 months no voucher comes through. MSE / affiliate window then make money on the people who have just forgotten about the voucher. They pocket the cost of the £120 voucher they should have sent.

For the other users who have remembered. They go through the process of acting as if they going through the motions. But never do. Hoping users just get bored of emails and think it is to much trouble. So again they can save money not buying vouchers.

I have no doubt I will get my voucher eventually. If I take legal action. Or make comments on here (their agents seem very good to fix issues. Only if someone is being vocal in public)

It is just a shame affiliate window and MSE business model is based on the idea that if they do their job badly enough a % of users won't be bothered or give up trying to claim what they should have been given automatically.

I’m sorry you’re having trouble getting your voucher. Is it after the 90 days since you signed up for the offer?

Can you please email your EE account details to voucherhelp@moneysavingexpert.com – detailing you EE reference number (it starts DKI and is in the PDF attached to the email you would have received when you signed up), the name and address of the named account holder, your order and installation dates.

Someone will be in touch shortly to look into it for you.

    Thank you

You would think after all this, the problems would have been rectified?
  • We're another one having no end of trouble with this offer. Same story, we have to chase up with them for any kind of response and we got the "oh, we don't have your details" line.

With so many people in the same boat either the people running this thing are incompetent or deliberately dragging their heels so they don't have to pay up.

    I can't even get a reply,

What can we do, who can we complain to?

This is very bad for mse offers and bad for EE.

Can a MSE representative please not ignor us any longer, this is very very bad service.
  • Still no reply,

Can somebody from MSE please reply.

I have finally got a reply, I don't know why it took so long but I think it was my constant pestering several times a day for several days, I think that's what's needed so that they stop ignoring you and fulfill their obligations.
