Offer is not open to all - this really should be in the t&c's......

In this case I would pay an extra 20 quid A MONTH - and have a limit of 20gb!!!!!!

If you are staying in an area which is a Non-LLU Broadband Network Area, then there will be an additional charge of £20 for EE, EE or T-mobile mobile customer OR £25 for Non EE, EE or T-mobile Mobile customer with a limited data of 20GB.
  • Yep, I got the same thing. So don't go out & waste your money on an EE PAYG sim (yes, I did!!!) It is a cheat, because I input my address on the EE site to check it was available first - sure enough up comes the banner saying available, cheaper for EE customers etc & no buy button.

Note to MSE - this should have been made clear on the BB deal page. I suspect that you owe quite a few people £10!!! Not all of us live in cities like you Martin. Some of us live in the countryside, so well done, you've managed to give a lot of money to EE. Presumably you're getting a cut. On a more serious note, this puts MSE in the same boat as EE - untrustworthy.

QUOTE=greenoak;discussion/4943349]I tried to sign up for this offer. Got onto the EE page and theres a lovely big banner for the offer.

Right under it is buy now deals at 26 a month + 15.60 line rental and then another offer at £21 a month

Wheres the buy now button for the proper offer.

I hate deception like this. Why not be honest and put up a note that says sorry you are not in our network for this deal[/QUOTE]
  • Hi, I tried several times to get the cheap deal online, as the others said, no button. Having telephoned EE they will give me the £2 per month deal even though I live in the countryside but only over the phone so no Amazon voucher through MSE. EE staff stonewalled when asked about the missing buy button and blamed MSE! It is there website after all. I will not use them as it left a bad feeling regarding helpfullness / fairness.

There's some pretty interesting feeback on EE customer service here:
    http://www.broadband.co.uk/broadband/providers/ee/reviews/page:all/

Does anyone on here have any recent experience of migrating to them?
Thanks so much for posting this link I almost signed up with them but after reading those reviews I won't bother. Martin and team - shame on you - you are in danger of denuding the trust the many MSE fans have in MSE. We too rushed out and got a T mobile sim card and put £10 on it but decided to check on here in case anyone had got any knowledge of the terms and limitations of the Amazon £120 voucher (i.e had to be used in one go or multiple discounts on transactions above a certain value etc.) Won't bother now as the appaling reviews EE get have put me off. Incidentally, this is not the first time MSE have been promoting a telecomms provider that ultimately turned out to be rubbish is it:mad:

Well I signed up using Quidco last week, £130 has tracked in my account and EE have confirmed the order and say I will receive my new router in 7 days and be connected a few days after that. So far, so good!

I am sorry others have had problems but if this works out I will have phone line and unlimited broadband for £31 for the year! I think the amazon deal was always a poor choice compared to £130 cash!

The quidco offer is back down to £80 this week, still not bad.

I tried signing up as this is a fantastic deal, not just the £2 per month price but the £120 Amazon voucher would be ideal for us. Hubby is already on EE mobile so no need for us to get a SIM, got the voucher bit done and it took me to EE website but when I try clicking on the 'BUY NOW' button nothing at all happens, like the link is broken? Have tried refreshing the page, still nothing. Came out of it altogether, went through the voucher bit again, said it was successful, brought up the EE website and again the button does nothing.

Called EE, the £120 voucher is only available online so their sales team can't help. Tried technical support, they also can't help as they deal with things like having issues setting up your broadband, not the website itself. Was advised to call registrations to see if they could help, but they are closed and the deal ends tonight - so we won't be getting this deal then!! Very annoyed as to why it's not working

Topcashback is now offering £136.50! ends in two days, PM if you need a referral. My advice is to ignore this amazon voucher thingy and get real cash back, just make sure you know what you are doing and clear out any cookies before clicking through.

EE may be rubbish but they are all rubbish, I have had problems with Plusnet who are supposed to be OK. So far they have been efficient and things seem to be going ok. Fingers crossed.

I recently moved my mobile from o2 to EE, and then I have moved into my first flat within the last month too.

Saw this offer (well, the £2 a month for EE customers, the cashback was a lot less and no vouchers! Ah well!) at the end of March and signed up.... my internet started working this morning!

Lots of long phonecalls being chucked from pillar to post - if your line works, then so far so good (albeit less than 24hours experience) but they aren't the best at getting the problems solved unfortunately. I even had a BT Engineer phone me on Saturday asking me what the problem with the line was because EE had just assigned one and not told them what they needed to do!

I think their customer service operation and the routes in which they solve issues need some urgent attention, but as I say so far the service (once you get it) seems to be OK.

They do traffic shape though - a major hate of mine! However, with it being my first place and wanting to air on the side of caution when signing into a contract, the price is a massive go-er

Well I am now connected to EE. I had no problems at all, after filling in the online form everything else just happened automatically. So far I am very pleased, especially as the upload speed is much faster than plusnet so that helps when sending emails and files. At just under £30 total for the year I am a very happy customer, as long as the cash back gets paid that is!
