Signed up for the deal about a month ago. Had nothing but trouble so far:

* line installation outsourced to BT, who did a very slapdash job of installing a phone line.
* after a few days the new EE phone line and BB went dead.
* Called them up, and they admitted they'd screwed up doing the transfer of my phone from Virgin. Blamed BT. Promised a call back.
* Two days, no callback. Rang them. They then lied to me and blamed Virgin. (Virgin have confirmed they never received a request for the number transfer.)
* Very rude EE staff refused to accept responsibility.
* Was without phone or internet for almost three weeks, as Virgin had already cut me off and EE said it would take about three weeks to re-activate the line that was already installed!!
* They finally re-activated the line (after THREE WEEKS)
* Called Virgin a week later. EE have still not put in a request for transferring my old number.
* Called EE AGAIN. They admitted they have screwed up AGAIN. Now promise the transfer will happen within THREE WEEKS.

I sincerely expect them to screw up again. EE suck! You get what you pay for. EE have rude, incompetent staff who never accept responsibility when things go wrong.

In contrast, Virgin staff have bent over backwards to try and help during this very difficult situation. They charge three times as much but at least Virgin get the job done, and do it with pleasantness and competence.

DO NOT SWITCH TO EE!!

• I tried to get this deal from EE. I used the voucher code given and the link from MSE but they quoted much higher prices. I queried it using EE's chat system. They told me it is a mistake on the MSE website:

EE : This is not a scam
Dave: Then let me have the deal
EE : It is website error on part of MSE
EE : MSE is a third party dealer
Dave : I very much doubt that but I will tell them you said so.

I have made a formal complaint and will refer them to Ofgem. Doubt it will get me anywhere but if enough people tell Ofgem they might act.

Regards
Dave.
• Hello big scary forum!

So, I went through the link to purchase the broadband on MSE with EE and being an EE customer, I was set up for that one.

All gone through, all complete but I have not received the amazon voucher?

Rang EE and they say it is MSE's problem, but for love nor money I can not find a contact on here to ring and see what is going on with it?

I am super new to this, have I just been sold something that doesn't exist? Is the voucher actually real?!

Please help!

For who to contact about the Amazon voucher, see my post #83 in this thread. I emailed that link 2 weeks ago but got no reply.

In post #67 of this thread, MSE Sally said that MSE will help with missing voucher problems. I PMd her yesterday but no reply yet. You can contact her here:http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/member.php?u=1629849

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped! Debt-free and Proud!
Phone line transferred today. Phoned EE about the price after everyone said they had probs on here. Spoke to some lovely man who said he'd had a few calls about it and DV (God willing) tis all sorted now. £7.50 for the first 6 months (tis not the cheapest package but what I needed)

So far I've had excellent customer service from EE though slow Broadband speeds in the evening - tis not the end of the world

• Moneysavers,

We are working with EE to resolve any issues some of you may have had with the broadband deal.

EE have created a community forum with agents ready and waiting to deal with any problems customers are experiencing with Service, Promotion, and Vouchers.

The URL is: community.ee.co.uk

We will provide an update on the situation come Monday. In the meantime please use the link provided if you have any problems.

Have a pleasant weekend.

Thank you Nick.

I've posted on the EE forum
http://community.ee.co.uk/t5/My-Bill/Amazon-120-Gift-Certificate/td-p/171253
I hope other MSE members will go there and add their views to mine.

The EE community has been in existence for some time so I am unsure why MSE are making it sound like its new thing created specifically for these issues? Also, the community site is just that, a community of users. I've never seen any agents or staff on there so I am unsure what help this will be.

Yes, I realised that when I followed MSE Nick's link, but I've followed the procedure he suggested, so let's see what he says on Monday, as promised.
In fact it would seem that Nick's possibly been given a link by the EE people and not even bothered to check where it led, because, as you say pinuk, Nick's post is completely misleading. My first impression from Nick's post was that the link led to a specific area on the EE forum that had been set up to deal with the Amazon voucher problem, but it just leads to a general community discussion forum.

Come on MSE; this offer was exclusively via MSE. This sorry business has been dragging on for weeks, and your lack of interest is shabby; as far as I can see there's only been two posts about it from MSE staff, and EE won't talk to us punters directly about it, they say it's MSE's problem.
You really need to start taking this seriously, or your wonderful reputation is in danger of being badly stained.
