Gravity, there are no words. Much love to all your family. I'd unwittingly seen a photograph of Martha not realising and she was a beautiful young lady.
I'm so so sorry.

I'm struggling, we're all struggling, I can't find anyone to talk to. Victim support sent a lovely chap, but he has no experience of this personally and I didn't feel that I could open up.
I've searched for forums to talk to others who've been through such a loss, but I can't find any, they must be there, perhaps the tears are obscuring my view of the search pages too much.
I'd be so grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of some support please.
Cruse are a great organisation and free, they may be able to help you in this difficult time. My friend works voluntary for Cruse and helps people who are affected by bereavement. Take care0 -

Wonderful mse friends.
We have boxes for Martha, in them are the many many cards we received - in those first days and weeks we couldn't walk past the door without picking up another envelope, and the postman must've thought we'd become famous - the cards from her flowers, and the letters left for her at the site by her friends.
In her room are the gifts left for her and the wonderful handmade cushion with her name made by a twelve year old, girl. Truly we have been overwhelmed by the community support.
Yesterday her cousin and close friend sent me a short video she found on her phone of Martha at the bowling alley. I'm so glad to see it though it is bittersweet; thank goodness for it, I was so afraid I'd forget her voice.
Sometimes it feels as if she was never here, everything is so normal, life goes on though it feels as if it shouldn't, and then bam, the huge hole left behind swallows us up.
I dyed my hair pink, had tattoos of her name and nickname, I call her Beanie, she's my Beanie Baby, I had my eyebrow pierced. She was into piercing, I agreed to a lip piercing but she knew she'd have to wait for any more. I hope she approves of our memorials, I think she does.
I changed all the furniture, her spot has gone, I got a doggy with a funny face, a Lhasa pug cross, I got her sisters and one brother new beds, I've been so busy with tip runs and picking up replacements.
I went back to work two weeks ago. I don't know if I'll stay, I was there when DH came for me with a policeman, he said, ' you have to come home now.' I asked what was wrong, the FLO said 'just come home now Karen.'
Of course I was asking questions, 'is it your dad, what's happened?' And he just said it ' Martha's been in an accident, she was hit by a lorry, she's dead.' He was still in shock, poor man.
I could hear myself shouting 'no, no, that's not true, it's a mistake.' So much of me still hopes to wake up and find it was a mistake.
Everyone has been kind and thoughtful, but I find it a little hard to be there. Well, time will tell.
Martha had red hair, she tried dying it, but she grew to love it, and I'm glad. Her Facebook name included the name Ginge, I still receive daily auto messages Fromm her, I often reply to them. When I logged onto her fb page I found messages from her friends. On that dreadful evening there were several just saying 'Martha?'
One of her friends sent several, she told her it made her feel closer and she wished shed been a better friend, god bless her.
Gotta go now, sorry if the spelling and grammar has gone squirmy.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -
Big hugs Gravity. xxSpelling courtesy of the whims of auto correct...
Pet Peeves.... queues, vain people and hypocrites ..not necessarily in that order.0
