I feel really sorry for your lost. Life is uncertain so anything could happen. We must accept it. I think if you keep yourself busy with work that could help you to reduce your pain.

Gravity the loss you have experienced is immeasurable, I'm in awe of your strength in going forward, making it through each day.

To lose a child in any circumstance is devastating but in your case so tragic, my heartfelt sympathies to you, your family and Marthas friends.

I can't give you any advice, I've never experienced any death in my life however I hope by chatting here with us you gain the love & support to make life a little more enjoyable and learning to love, laugh and smile again x

I'm so very sorry for your loss. reading your tribute to your daughter Martha and what you have done to keep her memory alive had me in floods of tears. I can't imagine what it must feel like to lose your daughter but reading your account of how you found out, had me relieving my own nightmare of 14th April last year when I found my 33 yr old husband dead at the bottom of our stairs. shock, disbelief and the worst pain I could ever imagined followed on from there and although 1 year later I am living my life with our 6 year old daughter it doesn't get any easier to do so without my amazing husband. I wish you all the best and hope you find a way to keep on going, even when you find it impossible to get up and face the day. My thoughts are with you and your family. take care xx

OMG Gravity I have just seen this having been away for a while. I am so very very sorry to read your deviating news. I lost my sister fairly unexpectedly 10 years ago so I have the tiniest inkling of what you are going through. I know no words really help but I am sending my deepest condolences anyway.
I'm not an AE I'm just an idiot who forgot to update email details, went away for a bit and then tried to come back after the old laptop died :o:rotfl:

I have just seen this too.

I also know a little of what you're going through as my niece died in a car crash when she was 18 and experienced the devastation it caused my brother and sister in law.

As looby said no words can really help, but like her I am sending you my condolences also. xxx

Possibly an earlier poster has suggested this (forgive me for not reading all these very personal messages), but in case not: https://www.tcf.org.uk.

TCF is a charitable organisation of bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents dedicated to the support and care of other bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents who have suffered the death of a child/children.
  • Gravity, I am an old user of this site and was looking in here (for advice on how to dry wellies of all things) when I read your terrible, sad news about Martha. I remember you and your family so well and I just don't know how to begin expressing my sympathies for your loss. I'm so, so sorry. You and your family are in my thoughts and I wish you all strength and courage for the times ahead.
