I'm sorry to have been away for so long. I'm so very grateful,for,all your support.

I couldn't bear to log in and see the messages, because it means I have to accept the reality and I can't try to pretend life is normal.

We celebrated Martha's sixteenth birthday on the 13 June. The pub she worked in have a bench in her 'spot', they put her glass of coke there for her with her favourite straw. All her family and friends attended, we wore,t shirts with her face on it and her favourite phrase YOLO, on the back 'with love from Martha'. Friends all received a key ring from her. It was one of the worst days of my life.

Since I last spoke to you I've gone slightly crazier, I quit my job and opened a shop with a friend, called Yolo's for Martha, we sell,ethnic, vintage and handmade goods. I don't know if it will,work, it may prove to be expensive therapy, but for now it's given me something else,to focus on.

It has been proven beyond doubt that the driver was speeding, however not enough for the cps to be confident enough of achieving a conviction for careless driving, so they have decided not to prosecute! We are very angry and it merely compounds our grief.

We have the inquest to get through next, in the meantime we shall be fighting for the case to be reviewed and working with Nelson's journey to help the children.

I shall update you when I can, you've stood by me through tears, laughter and this worst of times, and I can't thank you all enough.

I'm sure that I speak for alot of people when I say never feel you have to explain yourself to us (or anyone for that matter) - you have to do what you have to do.

As for the driver - I know you want justice, as I know I would but even if you don't get the case reopened, remember that they have to live with what they did - I know if it was me I would see the scene every waking moment.

Take one day at time, there is no set timetable for these sort of things - do them at your own speed

I'm struggling, we're all struggling, I can't find anyone to talk to. Victim support sent a lovely chap, but he has no experience of this personally and I didn't feel that I could open up.

I've searched for forums to talk to others who've been through such a loss, but I can't find any, they must be there, perhaps the tears are obscuring my view of the search pages too much.

I'd be so grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of some support please.
