No, I never offered to pay for half her ticket, I would never ask a parent for half my ticket, I would have paid for my son, the train, his lunch, spends, as was discussed, not half of an accompanying adult ticket no.

Many times for eg we go to theme parks, we go 2 for 1 or each pays, one will bring lunch or 1 will buy ice cream , or one brings sweets , the other the sausage rolls etc, the other the refillable drinks but never have I asked for half my entrance ticket? The gold posts have been moved, if we go out I expect to pay for me or me and OH and the kids pay as above or with some it's my turn this time your turn next, never has a parents ticket price been brought into question

But the difference is that this time she's the only one who's going, you're not going, she's the supervising adult, so I can kinda see where she is coming from.

She chose to make her boy & your boy happy.

Yes she did as equally I could have chosen to make her boy and my boy happy but she offered, she chose to go, she wanted to go, at no time was any unhappiness displayed any second thoughts or unwillingness, she knew all the details, nothing came out a surprise or different from what was discussed other than her unexpectingly asking for half her ticket money

That's what was discussed, 1 parent would go , I will go she said, ok lovely thank you, no probs, never I expect you to pay half for me:o

As a supervising adult it has not come about that I have asked from a parent for half of my costs

I've gone halves on tickets for parents so my son can do good things.
Equally other mums have gone halves when i've taken my son & a friend somewhere special.
