This is a new one on me!
Good idea. I'll plan to take my kid somewhere nice he would enjoy, offer to friend to take theirs too and then ask them to pay for me because I am doing them a favour!
    Good plan...
Now where should I take the kids.. and who would be easily fooled into this idea of ,favour'... and how much could I possibly get away with?

Sorry. I think she is a cheeky mare.

Completely different situation if I had to go unexpectedly, but not something I planned with the kids in the first place!!
(If I understand the OP correctly)

Back to the original question if you really don't want to pay 25 quid towards a day out you aren't even going on it's up to you to tell your friend that. No point paying it and being unhappy at being told you should.

From what we have worked out we have 2 choices, one pay kids happy and they have the accompanying adult or 2 not pay and OH goes and kids happy, life is for learning, it won't happen again:D:D

Yes it was discussed last year, we waited for the tickets to come out, I bought them on the internet, got an e ticket, all went according to pre arranged discussed plan, apart from having to pay half for the accompanying adult:o

Personally I'd just pay to avoid any ill feeling, as like I've said previously, I can see where she is coming from, and she is doing you a favour so to speak....or, phone her up and say 'Do you really want to go? Is it your kind of things? If not, hubby will take them if you'd prefer?', and then go from there.

What are you planning on doing?

Which one? You'll pay? Or you'll tell her your husband is going instead?

The way I see it is she is going to accompany both kids. If you don't pay half then she could be miserable and leave your kid out and favour hers etc.
It is blackmail but for the sake of my kid I would pay half to ensure he remained happy and excited :)

If someone could even anticipate behaving like that because a friend didnt stump up half the fee, I wouldnt be sending a child anywhere with them.

I'm thinking or rather OH is looking at going himself, it is many months away yet so anything could change but OH seems to be thinking of along the lines that to not go and pay half he might as well go and pay full. Like I say there is some months before the day yet
