The main question that needs to be answered, hasn't been as far as I can see. That question is, does she WANT to go? Or is she going along begrudgingly? The answer to that would make a big difference to the answers that you would get.

It's like the dog bed thread all over again. I give up, I'm out!

No an adult Is required based on their age:D, she is very much into the outdoorsy , she offered to accompany , I'm sure it's not too off the day out she would like even if she has not been before and is going now because her child wants to:D

Meant to add there are timings to arrive/ depart, lunch, snack areas, a list of what is available, there is a health and safety brief on arrival, what you do/ get out of it during those times is up to each person.

Your opinion is very much appreciated as is everyone's , thank you, it's always good to get talk/ discuss/ see what others would do and the way they see it so thank you:D

There really is no point going on about this: unless you want to spoil the day for the kids and have them fall out for the sake of 25 quid, pay her half. It doesn't matter whether people think she's being cheeky or fair. If you refuse to pay now, no matter how you disguise it (your OH going instead will be doing just that), it will most likely cause bad feelings and could spoil everything for the boys. Cutting off the nose to spite the face. I don't think it's worth the risk personally.

Just remember for next time to discuss that aspect at the time of planning.

6 pages on my lovely simply because people post and ask I answer, they post I answer;) everyone has an opinion, ranging from pay, don't pay, cheeky mare to 1 person saying it was blackmail which I replied to blackmail? No don't think it's blackmail, your opinion differs from others and vice versa that is the way answers/ questions, replies goes, it doesn't stop/ drop until people ask no more questions which I've answered:D
