    I have sent an email to [EMAIL="hello@ovoenergy.com"]hello@ovoenergy.com[/EMAIL] do you have a direct email address to also look into this?
    Today I logged in and the website did correctly show a page for Gas meter readings with the correct 4 digit space but still not showing a page for Electricity meter readings and still does not show that I have an Electricity account with OVO, although I know that I do by earlier correspondence and earlier meter readings.

    I have now received the following reply from [EMAIL="hello@ovoenergy.com"]hello@ovoenergy.com[/EMAIL] it explains why the Electricity does not show yet on my account but not why yesterday when I clicked the Gas meter readings it came up with an input screen titled Electricity readings and not enough digits to enter the reading, this seems OK today. Response is:

    Thanks for your email.
    Whenever you submit your opening meter readings to us they have to go through a validation process. That process is we send the readings you give us to the companies in control of the national grid in your area.
    They then confirm that the readings are accurate and send them back to us. They also forward these readings to your previous supplier.

    Please note that this process can take anywhere up to 6 weeks. Whenever the readings have been sent your previous supplier will send you a final statement, billing you until your supply start date with us.
    We have received the gas opening reading back but not the electricity one, it’s for this reason the website is saying we are not the supplier, I understand this causes some confusion and we are looking into changing this as soon as possible.

    My switch from EDF to Ovo is scheduled for 28/4. I finally got the 'sorry you are leaving' message from EDF. On logging into My Account, I got another message to say that my account was now closed and that my contract had been transferred-yet there are still 11 days to go. Has anyone else had this?
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    Yes I have had this for a switch to a different supplier Electric Account is marked as closed and Gas in process. Switch Date is 29 April. EDF confirmed that it isn't an error its just how their systems deal with the transfer. Although it seems very odd to me and not had this with other suppliers.

    ...same for me with OVO switch date of 30th April - wonder what would happen if I tried to input updated meter reads on the EDF site -still seems to be allowed??
    I suspect the system would throw a wobbly and halt the transfer so I won't risk it:rotfl:
    Thinking about it,I wonder if EDF will try to put us on a standard tariff from their imaginary closure date, producing estimated readings to close the Blue price promise account -I'll be well p****ed off if they do!!!

    I read in another thread that as long as EDF are told of the transfer to an alternative supplier prior to 30th April (the last day of the Blue Price Promise April 2014), you will be kept on the Blue Price Promise April 2014 prices until the changeover happens. EDF apparently confirmed this and I am hoping it is true.

    I think I actually read it in an email EDF sent to me warning me of the end of my current tariff (copied and pasted below)

    What if you want to move supplier?
    We hope you stay with us but if you are thinking about moving, you can call Citizens Advice on 08454 040506 or visit www.adviceguide.org.uk for independent advice. If you do decide to leave, as long as your new supplier tells us by 30 April 2014 we’ll continue to hold your current prices until you switch. We need to let you know that if you have an outstanding debt, we may object to you leaving us, but we’ll give you 30 working days to clear the debt and then you can leave us without your prices increasing.

    M271- we hope that the email cleared up the situation for you :) To confirm it does sound as if we have received your validated opening gas reading but not the electricity yet. Therefore electricity isn't showing on your My Ovo account quite yet.

    Brewerdave - who ever the current supplier at your property is will be the company to provide meter reads to. Therefore, before the 30th of April it should be fine to submit meter readings to Edf.
