    Strange you can't edit that. Like you said though, it's unlikely we'll receive anything further off them via post.

    There seems to be some confusion on the OVO site regarding my account.
    The switch took place on 02/04/14 and I gave my meter readings when the switching wiggly time line told me to (28/03/14) and also gave readings when I received email telling me to on 31/03/14 via beta site link on email. Both times it asked me for Gas and Electric readings.
    However when I now log onto the my account link it is saying that I have not submitted meter readings yet and also on some other screens only shows my Gas account and indicates that I do not have an electricity account with them. Even though the payment for both fuels has been direct debited.
    I'll submit some more readings and see what happens.

    Anyone else had similar experiences?

    I would never go back to Ovo. However I must be in the minority because some regard the owner of this tiny company the answer to the second coming!!

    i switched my gas and elec in March, and though my elec provider objected this only held back the elec move by 1 week.

    So far im happy with Ovo
    Promo codes are never always cheaper..... isnt that right EuropCar?

    Perhaps the issue lies with the CEC rather than Ovo.

    Hi Jem16, I`ve checked topcashback but can`t find Ovo on there.
    Who did you go through because when I tried Energylinx via TCB it wouldn`t allow me to switch to Ovo.

    Just tried to add new meter readings on website, on meter reading screen Electricity says transfer not completed but showed weeks ago that transfer has taken place for the official 2/4/14 transfer day, EDF site has said goodbye to me!
    When I click on Gas Meter reading button it comes up with Electricity meter reading input screen and only shows 4 spaces for meter reading digits, I need at least 5 digits for Electricity.
    All very confusing and strange indeed.
    Anyone else seeing this website anomaly??

    Are you using the BETA Ovo site or the Ovo site ??
    The current non beat site works for meter readings .

    Or to be more exact, even when I sign into my ovo on the non beta site it takes me to the Beta site.
  • Just received my welcome letter from Ovo. Curiously my "cooling off period" is 16 days instead of the 7 days I expected.

    Everything has gone smoothly so far. Only initiated switch 6 days ago and all details correct when logging on to my account online today. Switch is due in 4 weeks time. Admittedly still plenty of time for things to go wrong!

    Best thing......for the first time ever, my DD has been set at the exact amount needed to cover the usage amounts I entered on the comparison website. Every time in the past (and there's been quite a few times) when switching to Npower, EDF, EON etc. (either through various comparison sites or even directly) my DD has always been set to around £30-70 higher than than it should be and I've had to request it be lowered (which to be fair, it always has been before any payments have been taken).
